Dr. Whitney Mostafiz went the extra mile to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. This means that cases that she treated were peer-reviewed and that she had to take a written as well as oral exam about orthdontic diagnosis and treatment. Less than one-third of orthodontists receive this distinction.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
Simply put, an orthodontist is a specialist: Dr. Whitney received an additional three years of education, and is an expert in not just straightening your teeth, but also in choosing a comprehensive treatment option that is best suited for you. We are not looking to offer you any short-cuts, which may compromise your health in the long-term.
Did you know? The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children see an orthodontic specialist for a check up no later than age 7. An orthodontist can start noticing problems that may be developing, even when baby teeth are present or even if the teeth look straight. Some of these may require monitoring, while other problems may require intervention.
During this time, patients are in one of the most active phases of jaw growth (besides being a baby, I suppose). For this reason, this is a great time to correct and modify jaw relationships. Most or all of the permanent teeth are erupted so treatment can be done and finished on your adult teeth that we hope you can keep healthy and straight for many years ahead!

An awesome experience getting Invisalign with Dr Whitney. She has been super accommodating and adapted the treatment plan perfectly around the pandemic; a mixture of in-office check ups, Zoom check ins, and regular texts to see how it's going. Also super quick to respond and address any concerns/issues over text as well. Extremely professional and also a fun person to talk to, highly recommend.

Getting Invisalign with Dr. Whitney has been such a lovely experience. immediately upon meeting Dr. Whitney, I knew that I wanted to work with her. She is down to earth, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Before my treatment, I visited with a couple other orthodontists in the city who all seemed completely detached from their patients. I came to her in hopes of fixing some minor crowding on my bottom teeth, and finished the treatment with a better smile than I had ever hoped for (in less than 6 months!!).

Dr. Whitney is an incredibly kind, thoughtful, and smart orthodontist who made 14 months of Invisalign fly by in no time. She's extremely positive, checks in regularly on her patients, and wants to ensure the best job well done. There's never a wait time to see her, she's flexible with scheduling appointments in person and via Zoom, and most importantly she's so fun to work with. After a year of searching for a good ortho, I could not recommend Dr. Whitney more!

Dr.Whitney is the most, patient, caring, always has your best interest in mind Orthodontist you could ever meet. She is a perfectionist at what she does and wants nothing but the best for her clients. It was a long road for my treatment and I am super happy, we got through my periodontal treatment, my lost trays lol and even me not being as disciplined as I should be. Dr. Whitney Mostafiz is my dental HERO, and this is not an overstatement. I had a huge open bite with some crowding and one impacted canine. I needed miracle. She went above and beyond to find the perfect treatment plan. She was very patient, and always available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Dr Whitney is simply awesome! Such a vibrant personality. I am yet to meet a dentist who cares this much about their patients. She would routinely text or email me about the progress of my Invisalign treatment. Prior to my orthodontic treatment, I did a lot of research on providers and I am so fortunate to have chosen Dr Whitney. She takes her time to explain every single step along the way and is always readily available to answer questions. The best thing of all is that my teeth look amazing! I love Dr. Whitney so much. Found her on Zocdoc when I was living in nyc. Her advice re: invisalign has always been expert and practical, her attitude is genuinely so warm and compassionate, and years after I moved out of the city (she even helped me find an ortho so we could transfer my case!) she is still answering texts, emails, etc. whenever I need her. This is such a different experience to the old, entitled ortho who put braces on me when I was a kid, never listened, and ultimately ended up exacerbating my jaw issues to the point where I ended up with TMJ symptoms. I highly, highly recommend

I highly recommend Dr Whitney to anyone seeking orthodontic treatment. From the very first consultation, I knew it would be a great experience working with her. She genuinely seemed to enjoy her work and was very receptive to all the questions I had (and trust me, I had a lot).
