Loren J. Taple, DDS graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry in 1989. He then completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Minnesota in 1990. In 1991 he and Dr. Todd Thomas founded Eagan Dental Associates, now Northwood Dental.
Dr. Taple has served as an adjunct faculty to the University of Minnesota's school of dentistry and has been involved in leadership positions of several dental organizations.He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, St. Paul District Dental Society, and the International College of Dentists.

Todd M. Thomas, DDS graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry in 1989. He then completed a General Practice at the University of Minnesota in 1990. In 1991 he and Dr. Loren Taple founded Eagan Dental Associates, now Northwood Dental. He has dedicated his practice to providing the very best in state-of-the-art dental care.

The staff were very friendly, and as a new patient, everything was explained to me ahead of time as far as what I needed before coming in, so check in was smooth and seamless. It was just a routine checkup and cleaning but it went very well and everything was explained to me. Very nice and clean facility as well.

VERY DISRESPECTFUL, ESPECIALLY TO OUR MILITARY FAMILY! We had been patients there for 20+ years, even before they built this building. Apparently we had a $68. bill outstanding from 2020 (you know when covid hit) and I did try calling them a couple of times, leaving messages, trying to pay them. It must have slipped my mind when I ended up… having cervical spine surgery in June of 2020, having two discs replaced with titanium plates. Well, it ended up in collections which is not normal for us and I paid it immediately. I then broke 6 of my ribs in 11 places earlier this year, which I am

As a dental assistant I am aware of restorative procedures and what is industry standard.
He “Replaced” my crown but removed all the tooth structure above the gum line (without my knowledge) put a crown on with no post to anchor it.
Months later the crown came off, and I saw there was no tooth structure. It was all filling
back for a fix where he did the build up and post which should been done before. He didn’t because he would’ve had to admit he unnecessarily took off most of my tooth.
Basically he was setting me up for multiple visits to get more money. Not even 5 years later it

Tried to make an appointment. Receptionist told me they were "at the cap" for my kind of insurance like I was some riff raff. I want to point out we aren't on Medicare or medicaid. Our benefits come through her job MNDot. It must be because they don't get paid as much for our kind of insurance. Won't visit and don't recommend.

Our family loves Dr. Thomas, and all the dental hygienists are the best in the business. Northwood has been our trusted dentist for over 25 years, since I was a child. I will now take my kids there! It was my first time going here since being absent from a dental chair in quite a while. They were very kind and gentle due to my anxiety of dentistry work of any kind. They were very thorough and efficient in explaining everything that was being done especially with newer techniques from when I last went to a dental office. It was a a very soothing experience.
