Four stars only because when you walk in, their menus are on a table a few feet from the order counter. A group of customers congregated there to view the menu. I can see this being an issue if we came at a a much busier time because it conflicts with the line flow. Not a huge issue - just something to note.

As far as the food goes, oh my god was it delicious! They're breakfast potatoes are so yummy and probably the best i've ever had in Anchorage! The portions are a great size and the price for their food is reasonably priced. I got the mexican benedict, a fun and creative play on

We had the GF bumble berry French toast and the Reindeer omelette and they were so good! They also have really good coffees; we enjoyed some cappuccinos!

Middle way use to be a great place with great food and great service. They have seen been reduced to long hold times if you can get passed the busy signal. They tell you they will text when the order is done that never happens. Food sits and they serve it warm. Poor customer service. Just completely downhill
Food is great if you get it on time and the way you ordered it

Usually a decent place to eat. Our order was forgotten about. Served to us warm, not hot. When I politely asked about the order, one of the servers made sure to remind me there was a wait time. I arrived there at 13:55, and was served at 15:10.
Like I said, normally a decent place, but the service is unsatisfactory, and one server seemed to be having a bad day.

Ordered the avocado toast. I dont know how they get away with charging $12 for a single slice of bread with avocado, bean spouts, and thin slice of orange. Not impressed.

Can't even start to review this place because... well, showed up at 8am when the voicemail says they open at 7am.... And there's nobody to be found. No lights on, doors locked, and no signage saying the hours have changed. After reading more reviews, seems like a common issue ā€ā€ even if the food was good, we won't know now.

This place has very delicious food. The best part is all the options, including vegan and gluten free choices! The vegan burrito I got had good flavor and the salsa was a good add to it. My dad got the omelette and said it was really good as well. Definitely the place to go for breakfast! Canā€™t wait to try lunch here sometime!

I loved this place. I was a little skeptical when I visited this place but, the food was amazing, my husband and I visited this place for breakfast on our wedding anniversary. We started our day with yummy breakfast. There are a lot of vegetarian options too. We came for vacation to Alaska and had a very good start. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Came by this place for Breaskfast. I am new to Alaska and we came here because of the good reviews. First impressions were great, had no problem ordering our food. Menu is easy to read as they have it on the wall. One suggestion would be a hair nets for the guys handling the food in the back. Either than that, the stuff was great and the food was good. Recommend.
Ordered: Farmers Starter

Our family, a group of six visiting came in for brunch and we were extremely disappointed with our visit.Ā

The burgers we ordered were charred to the point they were flavorless with the texture of rubber, my chicken sandwich was cold and I was not sure if I was even eating chicken, the burrito order came out about 10 minutes after the other food came out AND was "chicken" not the beed we ordered, and the baja bowl tasted like it was thrown in the microwave for an excessive amount of time.

We were so disturbed by the food that we ended up just walking out without eating.

A bit unorthodox but that's why it's a great place to eat/visit. What looks like a small stop in a strip mall is a restaraunt you can walk in the front and out the back to the patio for some sun. Order at the horseshoe style cash registers and sample a bit of everything or just order one of their baked goods, a coffee, and enjoy the artwork sprawled along the walls, all of which are for sale.

Their food is so great, but the wait time is inversely proportional. You have to make sure youā€™ve got a block of time saved off if you plan to dine-in here, especially with the covid reduced seating. Vegan-friendly, GF-friendly; lots of options here. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you.

As a former employee I can tell you, middle way does a decent job training it's employees. However, often they are understaffed and overworked along with high turnover. On busy days when people would call out the employees were stretched thin. The reason why employees don't know what food tastes like is because they are new and can't afford to eat there (young college/high school mostly). My best advice is to go there for a coffee and pastry or order ahead on the phone (45 mins at least) if you'd like a sandwich ready. Dining in is going to take you some time (mostly because

Wait times are awful. Incredibly slow service. 30+ minute wait for a bowl of soup. Simply awful. I've been coming here for years. It's getting worse by the day. Food is tremendous but my goodness they take forever.

Seriously bummed out by Middle Way. The food is consistently great (which is no easy feat), but the service is consistently inconsistent.

Last weekend I placed an order over the phone for take out. I was quoted 25 minutes for pick-up. I showed up 30 minutes later and it took another 15 minutes for my order. I'm ok with that and planned for a little wiggle room with time.

When I received my order, they had given me ONE pancake for my 12 year old (instead of a full order) who was on her way to practice. When I asked one of the staff if they could fix the order, I was told no, that I would

I just wanted to give a shout-out to Middle Way for showing MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT!

This business used to always be out of everything, and they seemed to have fixed that issue.

They are my #1 spot to order-in breakfast from.

The breakfast quesadilla is high-quality and generously-portioined.

They have, without question, the best potatoes I've ever had in Anchorage. If they offered a cooking class for them, I would pay money for it!

This place is pretty good. Would say you have to go later in the day for it to be a bit peaceful. And get your order quicker. They have a nice huge breakfast and lunch menu. The coffee is always good and the juices and smoothies are always a plus. I got the Mexican Benedict and it was pretty huge. There's just enough spice and flavor. The potatoes were nice and soft. And there was a bit more avocado than I expected. The avocado toast was a bit brown. And very little avocado. The oatmeal is pretty good. Overall I would say go on a later or earlier time. Cause lunch time does get a bit hectic

I was super excited because this is the first vegan joint in Alaksa that actually looked pretty fire.

I ordered -

REUBEN SANDWICH: I don't know what I was expecting but... I definitely wasn't expecting this lol. I learned that I'm not really a huge sauerkraut fan & the main ingredient in this sandwich was sauerkraut.. fail. The portion size of this sandwich was huge, definitely lasted till lunch, by that point I took out most of the sauerkraut so it tasted a little better.

SPICY KALE LEMONADE JUICE: I loved this! It was too sour and tasted like only lemonade to be honest

Got the Mexican Benedict and it was by far the best meal I've had while in Alaska. The Follow Your Heart smoothie paired well and was very tasty. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff.

Finally a burger that is not beef or salmon. Have been looking for someplace that offered a meat burger other than beef or fish. Had the lamb burger. The patty size was nice size. It comes with jalapeƱo chimichurri which I asked for on the side to regulate the spice factor. The chimichurri had a kick to it. The lamb was a little tough it may have been over worked, but I over looked it as I was so happy to have an option.

For dessert had the carrot cake. It had nice spice flavors, but does have nuts. The icing is not overly sweet, which complimented the cake.

My friend and I found this place courtesy of a google search as we needed a respectable place to eat breakfast with only a day to spare in Anchorage. So, upon arriving we waited in line and looked over the offerings - which were posted both above the checkout counter as well as on menus. The setup is a bit atypical here, as you first place your order at the counter and are then given a number, after which you select any table you like and wait for your food to be brought out.

Although the menu options were abundant, I settled on a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, avocado
