We had the lunch buffet ($15.99 per person, I believe). For the price, I thought the buffet was very solid. There are lots of options to choose from, which I really appreciated. I was able to try some new dishes I had not had before. However, this is definitely not the best indian food that I have tried (especially the saag paneer was underwhelming). Further, the service was lacking -- we never got our water refilled the entire time that we were there.

Absolutely in love with the lunch buffet/all you can eat experience. We came here on a Monday. The variety of dishes - chicken tikka masala, paneer, chickpea, tandoori chicken etc etc. blew me away. Their dessert with rice pudding, carrot cake and candies friend dough were fantastic. The service was friendly, prompt and professional. For $15, this is definitely a premium experience. Would love to come back again, and very soon.

Was spoiled and smelling extremely bad
Not sure how they couldn’t find out when making or serving it.
We had the foul smell when serving it onto our plate.
Not a single sorry about this and the waiter is so weird that we were the only table in the restaurant and he was just standing in front of the table waiting for us to get done and leave even though there was 30 mins more to closing.

How can you NOT give 5-stars to this place.
Open buffet with more food you can possibly eat. More than enough options for both vegetarian and meat lovers. Food is good - obviously and the kitchen is fast if you need a-la-carte.

The interior was so inviting and warm that it felt like a posh authentic Indian restaurant. Do I started to drool over reshmi kabab and chilli chicken, really hoping to get something nice. When the order came, the reshmi kabab was made of mixed meat (so not what I wanted to eat) and chilli chicken was in a weird looking tomato paste. The waitress had no idea what reshmi kabab actually is. So I educated her and then she went back to check with the chef. She came out with "our chefs are from Bangladesh so that's how they make reshmi kabab". Shouldn't the restaurant then be called

The buffet menu is the best here. Very affordable ($15) and authentic food. India Pavilion is by far the best Indian restaurant serving delicious and authentic food in Boston. Had an amazing experience of great hospitality within a spacious and clean dining area. They're very good with keeping Covid norms and ensure that guests feel safe and comfortable.

Food was great. But service was not good. There was only one person serving. We were in a hurry and tried to tell him that. But he didn't even look and was very ignorant

The staff was staying calm cool and collected in the face of some very grumpy women waiting for take-out orders. The dining room was packed, and there was a line of people waiting for takeout, and the staff was working very hard. I heard one staff member say "the kitchen is cooking as fast as they can." I wish people could be more understanding during such extremely difficult times for the restaurant industry. My takeout order was very tasty even though I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for it, It WAS prime time on a Friday night after all.

I was a little disappointed that service was extremely slow even though we were one of maybe four parties seated at the restaurant. The service staff stayed in the kitchen/back of the restaurant so it took them a handful of minutes to notice that we entered the restaurant. After we were seated and looked at the menu, it took a long time for someone to come take our order.

We shared the chicken pakora ($5.95), lamb rogan josh ($15.95), and aloo nan ($4.50).

The chicken pakora had a texture that I wasn't super used to (to be fair, I've never had chicken pakora before so I am not the best

Great food and service, Indian Pavilion was a good call, the food really hit the shot. We're originally from Houston, Texas where there are good Indian restaurants in every corner but we were impressed and really enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended

For more than a dozen years I have patronized India Pavillion including ordering takeout from them during the pandemic. When my office was nearby, I frequented their buffet. I've had many dinners there over the year.

You can imagine how surprised I was by the terrible service and hostile response when that I got when I complained.

As I have done more than ten times, I ordered pickup today. I sent my 13-year old daughter to pick it up. She loves their coconut soup and has grew up on their saag paneer. It was a treat for her to have India Pavillion.

I called in advance and said that

Great value and quality. Got delivery. Food was received quickly and still tasted fresh an hour later. Only thing is that they didn't include utensils. Would order from them again.

I was starving when I came here and the food was absolutely great. The flavors and spices all came through and I was just tearing through the food. The portion size for the naan was perfect because it was large but enough to use up all of the fury with. I would definitely come here again and order more of their foods!

I went for lunch buffet. They have a nice spread of appetizers and main course for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Samosas and Pakoras (4/5) Main course is a mixed bag with palak paneer and chana masala being the best.. I liked the kheer out of the 3 desserts.

The quantity of food was nice. They gave extra rice & daal which was not in the menu. That is good. I didn't like the daal anyway. I ordered some chicken dishes & it felt like homely. I have tasted some other Indian restaurant here in Boston & Cambridge so I cannot review this one as best. But the food was normal & good.

India Pavilion is hands-down my boyfriend's favorite restaurant in the greater Boston area. I'm pretty sure we order takeout from here at least once every month, because it's his comfort food--I'm almost certain he'll never get tired of this place!

He always orders the Gobi Kaju Masala since he's vegetarian, and introduced me to it a couple of years ago. It's very flavorful and probably the best Indian curry I've had. We also usually order the garlic naan, and the curry and garlic naan make a great combination. Price wise, I'd say that you get what

I ordered butter chicken with rice and it was very delicious. Staff were very nice. The bathroom was very clean. You can stay there until 11pm and you wouldn’t be rushed to leave the place. My friend and I had a very enjoyable time over there having great food and chatting. The sitting area was very comfortable. They also have a dedicated bar in the restaurant for those who need to just use the bar or order special drinks. Their menu was quite versatile covering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options.

This is overall a decent spot (3.5 out of 5) to have a quick warm bite by yourself or with a group if you happen to be in the central square area.

Let me admit I don't have particularly high standard for Indian food. We went on a Friday for dinner. The true story was that we were planning to go somewhere else, but this place smelled very good when we passed it, so we stopped at the door to check out the menu. As we were debating whether to go inside, someone came out of the restaurant and said "you wouldn't go wrong with anything you order here." So we decided to give it a

India Pavilion is a solid option for Indian cuisine if you're in Central Square, Cambridge. The atmosphere is clean and interesting. Cool lighting fixtures, a couple different dining areas. It's a little dark at some of the tables but not too bad.

Service was prompt and personable. Food came out pretty timely for the most part.

*My biggest qualm was that the meat portions in the dishes we ordered were a little small. We ordered three chicken entrees and I feel like there could have been a bit more chicken in these servings based in what other Indian restaurants serve. Though the portions
