We ordered here since it was downstairs of our hotel.. the ordering process was easy. The gentleman taking our order was polite. We ordered two cheeseburgers and a spicy chicken sandwich... the food was not great... the bread on the chicken sandwich was way too small, the chicken was drenched in hot sauce and the chicken itself was flavorless.. the burgers were ok, very dry and bland. The fries were average.. overall, I feel that their food is way overpriced for what you get.

Overall a nice place in a great location. We tried this restaurant for the first time as part of the Dine Around Boston event. The food was good / well seasoned and our server did a nice job of attending to our needs. The ambience was great - I'd describe it as chic but not pretentious (love the Edison lights!). The only complaint that I had (and others in my group had) was the portion size of the main course which was a bit on the small side. The meal was a good deal based on the special Dine Around Boston menu but the normal menu prices were on the high side for what you get

The atmosphere is very nice and the food and drinks were delicious! Staff was extremely friendly and not terribly busy at all. The only think that threw me off was the fact Google labels it as $$ but I would definitely say it's more of a $$$. All in all it was a wonderful experience. The bar top is also illuminating and super cool to look at

I had dinner here last week - the food and service were wonderful. I just got back from Mother's Day brunch and the food and service were awful. I was with my mother and son; we waited 15 minutes to place our orders, our food arrived 45 minutes later. The wait person, who was very nervous and in a hurry, barely said a word. When our food finally arrived, my son's salad had dressing, mine did not. My son's biscuits were 'mediocre', my frittata was a dry square of egg which I ate out of hunger. Our wait person never checked on us; after flagging him and asking for dressing

Food is delicious, always warm and beautifully presented. Nice ambiance whether inside or outside. Wait staff is very attentive, treating each table like it's their only one, and they never stop! Manager always stops by the table and they go above and beyond helping to make your experience top notch. Great location too. Would recommend Nubar anytime you want to meet up with friends, listen to some music or enjoy a glass of wine in a relaxing atmosphere.

Had a lovely time for Dine Out Boston. Everything was tasty. Nicely balanced. From the pork egg roll with the mustardy sauce and side veggies, to the steak tips with chimichurri and mashed yucca, to the profiteroles with coffee ice cream. They outdo themselves with the flavorful fresh ice cream :).
They recently renovated the space- the lighting is so cool (like a castle)! We sat outside, and even though it was a busy day the waitress was very attentive and kind. We each did the 3 course restaurant week meal. My friend also got the truffle fries, extra crispy. To start, lobster arancini- yum!

2 stars for the nice waitstaff. -3 sars for the frozen, processed food that I half-ate. The mashed potatoes should read "powdered potatoes" and the crab cake was a stringy, fried thing. ...and I've money on it that the chowder came out of a huge can.
Ok in a pinch? No. Don't be fooled by the cool doorway. Keep walking.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now. I finally went their for Valentine's Day post making a reservation. I had a really nice experience. The cocktails were very tasty. We ordered a beef burger and a black bean burger for dinner and they were both good. The highlight for me were the fries! We finally ordered the lemon panna cotta which was so light and refreshing.

I come to Nubar frequently out of convenience, not because I like it. The food is consistently under seasoned but cooked well. There are a handful of bartenders who always give amazing service. There are also quite a few servers who give the most inattentive service possible. It took 10 min to get water, 25 min to get my drink (my food came out before my scotch), and to top it all off, they gave me the wrong drink. A slow Tuesday night should not have this kind of service.

Had a really nice dinner here while staying at the hotel for work. It’s a very modern atmosphere - not really warm but it’s nice. The service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the gazpacho and the crab cake appetizer was melt in your mouth. I could have eaten two! I had the smoked salmon flat bread for my main meal and it was great. I finished it all off with the ice cream sandwich - which was awesome. The malted vanilla iced cream put it over the top. I would eat here again.

This is a restaurant in the hotel's ground floor. Nice modern interior decoration and spacious space in the dining hall. One side of the dining hall has big windows to the front door garden.
They have a big drink menu and full dinner menu. We had cocktails, cheese board and crab cake as starters, scallop and steak for main dishes. The food is good. I like the cheese board best. The drinks are also nice. Serving sizes are slightly small. Nothing too special on the menu but you can find thins you need.

The food was pretty good here. I didn't like the lighting because it was very dark and was hard to see. Also, the portion sizes were pretty small. The burger was pretty good though. However, it was not amazing. It's a good lounge space for meetings and drinking with friends. However, I would not recommend getting food here, because it will not leave you full.

Really enjoyed my dinner here. I opted for the tuna BLT and I was not at all disappointed. It had a fried green tomato on it which was different and it really added a nice crisp to the sandwich. You're able to pick a side and I was able to get half salad and half fries. It was honestly like having two full side dishes. I wasn't able to finish all of it and I'm one who could really eat. That's how big the portion was!

It is the restaurant within Sheraton Commander Hotel. It serves breakfast buffet which is pretty decent and reasonably priced. If I remember correctly it was $19. The food selection is ok although not comparable to large city hotel breakfast buffets' selections. For example, there was no smoked salmon or Asian foods such as noodle or Chinese dimsum. The lunch and dinner menu are the same, I think. The flat breads are fine. I like food less blackened though. The cooked salmon in our salads and pasta was way too salty. So, the cooking is not great but I think the ingredients are not bad. We did not

Its a little spendy but honestly seems worth it. It is a hotel resturant / bar so ....
The food is always hot and appears fresh, the bar is willing to stiffen the drinks should the tip be right, the staff is prompt and a little too helpful and the patrons seem pleasant enough.
Duck, seared pear and walnut flatbread .. yum

This review is for the Nubar vegan menu! First of all props for having this at all.
I think that the food and drink at Nubar is delicious. I had the Mezze plate, parmesan fries, and the Chef's Whim (some sort of subtly seasoned artichokes and white beans). The food was light and flavorful, yet felt nutritious. I believe the chef came out to serve me himself!
The service was also excellent despite the late dinner that I had (around 11pm). My bartender made an effort to talk and offered and suggestions for local attractions.
Definitely one of the best hotel dining experiences I've

I've had two events for grad school here and been less than impressed with the food each time.
Before discussing the food, it's important to note this place is pretty. It has great loungey areas and a nice bar. The location is great in that it's a little tucked away from the rest of Harvard Square, which means it's less packed and inevitably a bit quieter if you're actually trying to have a conversation with someone.
They host a lot of groups because of their proximity to Harvard. They have a nice corner room they can tuck your group away in which is cozy and nice in

Nubar is a slightly upscale hotel bar/restaurant. The dim lights, modern decor and fireplace give the restaurant an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.
I stay at the Sheraton in Harvard Square multiple times per year. If I am in a rush or needs to have a quick meal, I usually go downstairs to eat at Nubar. The food can be hit or miss. I've had great dishes and less than impressive dishes at Nubar. The variety on the menu is pretty nice.
My favorite meals at Nubar are: the Wild Boar & Peach Flatbread, Shrimp Cocktail, Flat Noodles & Beef in a Wine Gravy, and the Mezza Plate.

Surprisingly good food and drinks for a hotel bar. I was staying at the Sheraton Commander so I spent quite a bit of time at Nubar. The service is very quick and friendly and the food is quite good.
Breakfast buffet is $19 and yummy - well-stocked omelette bar with a very friendly chef, scrambled eggs, variety of breads and pastries, sausages, french toast or pancakes, and usually a surprise item or two. Everything is quite good.
I've also had the cheese plate, the crab cake, and several of their dinner options and everything was very good. I'd even go so far as to say this restaurant
