Great shop with fair pricing. Will tell you what you actually need to have done instead of what is "recommended". They did new brakes for my car then later had rear shocks replaced. Friendly and thorough shop plus it's nice to actually talk to the mechanic who worked on your car instead of a concierge who is just reading off of a paper.

I have been taking our cars to Nofsinger's for at least 10 years. They are great at what they do. They are honest and straightforward. The work is professionally done and with reasonable charges. They have been keeping my 2007 Infinity running great. The most recent works was to replace the head gasket and do the 100,000 mile work on our Subaru Forester. Chris usually gets my vehicles to work on. The car now runs great and we are set to have it work for us for a long time to come.

Had Chris fix my car, we at first thought it was the starter which it wasn’t. After figuring it wasn’t the starter even offered to take it back and replace it with my original starter but decided it’s best to keep the new one. Chris took the extra effort to fix my car in the cold and figure it out for me after not knowing what exactly it was causing it not to start, he had great customer service and communication on what was being done with my car and what other problems it had that were minor. I feel very confident that my car was in good hands.

These guys are the best!!! And using them for the past 25 years. They're not the cheapest they're also not the most expensive, but they always fix it right the first time. I have never had to take a vehicle back for a problem that they didn't fix right the first time. They always get it right the first time. Love these guys

Absolutely won't go anywhere else. I've been coming here for years, and no matter what vehicle I drive, these guys are the experts. I've been really burned by some other mechanics in Lombard, but you won't find a better bunch of guys. They explain everything to you, they're fair, and stand by their work. It's funny/sad writing this review now because a couple weeks later, my car was totaled in a 5 car accident from behind. Long story but a lady hit another car, flipped onto her driverside door and slide into 3 cars (mine being the worst of it) as we sat at a red left arrow.
Anyhow, I went in to have my exhaust fixed on my poor Nissan Juke. RIP They were able to squeeze me in and reattach it instead of me having to completely replace it. The owner was friendly and great to chat with about Yelp and other small talk.

Nofsinger's is the absolute best! I have been taking my cars here ever since I moved to the western suburbs several years ago. We recently chose to use their services based off Yelp reviews. We contacted them here and got a quick response to call for an appointment. When we called, they were able to give us an appointment within 3 days to get our brakes changed. They told us we were a bit far from the shop so if they couldn't get someone to drive us home when we dropped off the car, they'd arrange an Uber for us and include the charges on the bill. Wow! This was one of the best automotive care experiences ever! Had a problem we couldn't diagnosis. Took it there Friday, no appointment, (wish I had the guy's name), nice young man. And very knowledgeable! Checked the oil, we were low, he put 2 quarts in. Added brake fluid after syphoning out power steering fluid from the brake fluid reservoir. (Don't ask ). He didn't charge us! Took it back today for an oil change and tire rotation and overall check-up before we take our road trip. Very reasonable charge. I think we have a new mechanic!!

Excellent. Was referred by a friend given we couldn't take our vehicle to the dealer given a strike. They were excellent. Very communicative. Very thorough. Recommended options for my hybrid without necessarily pushing the highest priced one. They were also friendly and, at least in my opinion, trustworthy. Michael is an amazing mechanic. I've never met him in person but he was adept at diagnosing my strange leaks and resolving little issues - all with complete honesty and humor. If you are in the Lombard area I would highly recommend him and Nofsingers.

My check engine light came on at absolutely the worst time. I was in an unfamiliar neighborhood about an hour away from home in the early morning hours on a Saturday. As a city car, it is older and rarely used (but well maintained). Given its high mileage, any number of things could have gone wrong. Concerned, I contacted the first garage I found on Yelp that was near my location. They told me to head on over and they would take a look immediately (I was on a very tight schedule).

First of all, it's a huge stress relief to have a mechanic you can trust.
