We hadn't been to Si Amigos in quite some time and arriving at 4:40p on a Sunday afternoon we were greeted by a paper sign pasted to the front door saying that due to staffing shortages the restaurant would close on Sunday's at 5pm. I was hesitant to go in, but we entered the lobby area and asked the Manager (I believe his name was Omar), if it would be ok if we came in. He said yes, but I suspected some hesitation in his voice, but none-the-less greeted us with a smile. We couldn't help to notice a female server who was nearby at the time, who grunted softly, something to the effect

Very pleasant and speedy service. But the food is a bit lack luster. Peanut butter in the enchilada sauce is as odd as it sounds. Is it Thai or Mexican? The A La Diablo was very good and spicy.

While driving around after my haircut, I craved tacos. There's a spot almost right next door to where I get my haircut but that wasn't the food I was jonesing for today.

My go-to spot was packed for lunch so I kept going until I said out loud in the car, "let's go see Omar!" The man whose name was blurted out in my car is the owner, proprietor of Si Amigos. When I arrived, I opened the door and saw Omar sitting at the bar, eating lunch. I said, "Omar!" He was startled but happy to see me. His restaurant is chock-full of family recipes so choosing one item, in

Unimpressed by the food; super impressed by the service.

Chips & salsa were meh; salsa very mild, not even much tomato taste. Chips not too exciting either.

On the other hand, I loved the bean dip - very smooth, tasty, even better than the refried beans offered with the entrees.

I had the burrito combo with shredded beef. It was LOADED with beef, but strangely lacking in flavor. I'm not one that wants lots of spices, but I do like /some/ spice. Black beans were ... black.

They don't have Coke Zero - full star off! (just kidding) It's a Pepsi palace.

We got takeout and it was okay. Our food was cold and we didn't receive everything in our order. It was also more expensive than the prices they have listed online. I would not get takeout here again. I might dine in but with so many other choices out there I am not sure.

The staff was very nice and friendly. We also really enjoyed their food. They do give you chips, salsa and bean dip and we loved the bean dip. Nice seating and atmosphere too. Pretty good portions and not too expensive.

It's just ok. Chips and salsa are complimentary with is nice, but the chips were stale. The carna asada was very good but the El pastor tacos were so dry it was hard to even eat them. It has a cantina feel, but it's a little dirty, old and run down. Great service though.

Our waitress here was fantastic. She provided great service. Good most definitely missed the mark though. Ordered the beef flauntas and cannot say I was a fan. Drink specials were okay at best as well. For the previous reviews to be so high- fairly disappointing.

The atmosphere is charming and on point. However, the most important thing is the quality of the food. I've only eaten here twice and each time the food is delicious. This particular time I asked them to combine a bean tostado with a ceviche tostada. They did it, and it was delicious, and delicate. I will eat here again.

We were taking guests out and thought we were going to Bertha Miranda's but turns out it was closed on Monday night, so we scrambled to find somewhere else to go. I'm glad they were closed. It was great! My new go-to Mexican place whilst in Reno! The camarones cabo blanco! Yummm.... They have a great bean dip they bring with the chips. I'm just sad now because they are not in Salt Lake. Maybe it's for the best...

What great service, food is excellent hot and delicious , the Margaritas on Tuesdays and Thursdays is not only the best tasting and large but it's 2 for 1. Can't beat that ....now if you like spicy hot sauce ask the waiter or waitress for the hot special sauce and pour a bit on the bean dip...yummmm. Overall the family owned restaurant has one the best customer service ......always coming back for more. Kudos to you

Absolutely love this place. I will always feel at home here. Used to come here so much when I lived here in Reno. So every time I'm here visiting, I must have the Famous Si Amigo Plate. I can never say anything bad about this place, everyone here is always like family here. Thank you Omar, thank you Sandy and the rest of the staff.

Cute spot in midtown that serves a mean mango daiquiri. The decor is cozy and the service was good. Parking was a bit frustrating but that's certainly not the restaurant's fault. Just watch out for aggressive parkers!

The staff did a good job spacing out their customers and they offer a hand sanitizer station when you enter. The menu is pretty typical and I went with a chicken tostada salad. It was served with rice and beans and the flavor was good. Maybe even a tad too mild, but a little salsa solves that. The chicken was tender but not given a chance to drain before it was put on

From the outside I wouldn't have expected it to w such a bright and warm place. This was a great place for dinner with friends. There space out the tables and the staff all wore masks and gloves.

There are pages of options to choose from on the menu. I went with a regular combo, taco and chili Chili Relleno. They tasted delicious. I ate everything and washed it down with a Sierra Nevada beer.

My friends all agreed, it was a good choice. One of them got the Mole Poblano and it looked so good. I asked for a taste because I had never tried mole before and was intrigued by the chocolate sauce

My cousin showed me this place today, I didn't even realize they were here. What a cool little gem!!

As soon as we entered we were happily greeted, and seated almost immediately. The place seems small and cozy inside, but I wonder if that's not because of the dark colors, woods, big chairs? The wooden table chairs though... beautiful! I wish I had thought to take pictures of them, but I haven't seen my cousin in about 5 years, and I was pretty distracted.

They brought out my cousin's fajitas, which looked and smelled amazing. She says they are her favorite, so next time I

Lunch at noon on a Monday. I originally scheduled a meeting at the Thai place in this plaza only to find out it is closed Monday. The Italian place also closed. But Si Amigo was open so I was glad to give it a try for the first time.

Seating (and parking) were ample - which I really appreciate. I was greeted and seated promptly when I entered, another huge plus for me. Our orders were taken quickly and food delivered VERY fast. Overall the service was impressive, something I value.

I ordered the Carne Asada Fajita and it was very tasty. There was more food than I could eat. While the meat was

Wow! So me and my friend stumbled into this place and we do not regret it. I've never been to a Mexican place that gives free chips and bean dip but that's a match mad in heaven! The music was pretty groovy and the decor was cool.

As for the food, I ordered a enchilada combo and it was a lot of food for the price. Spanish rice, beans, and an enchilada just for $8. It was quite tasty. Our waitress was very nice and refilled our waters.

After I paid and left I realized I left my card at the restaurant. Thankfully they put my card in a safe place so I picked it up with no issues. Thank

Pretty satisfying Mexican food!
Before the meal comes out, of course there's chips and salsa. But there's also bean dip and the bean dip is terrific and a little spicy! It's $2.50 if you want more.

I ordered the steak fajitas. It came out sizzling like it's supposed to. All the side items--beans, rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream-- were all good but not one of them was "great." The tortillas were average. But the steak fajita meat and veggies themselves were 5/5, terrific and thinly cut so they could be cooked well. This review would be a 3/5 if this

Ive been going to this place for a couple years now, for my friends birthday. Ive never really been blown away, except for today! I ordered the steak fajitas and they were delicious! OMG! They were served sizzling hot, and tasted perfect!

The staff is always awesome, friendly and helpful. The chips come with a warm bean dip and salsa both of which are wonderful.

I totally recommend the steak fajitas, but im told the enchiladas are awesome as well. They are made with a peanut sauce and are supposed to be the best? Next time, its going down like that.

I love their sombreros too. High quality
