Many people not wearing masks as they came in and got seated along with some staff unmasked. Had a glass of Chardonnay and a spinach salad with apples, gorgonzola, candied walnuts and a honey balsamic dressing. I also had an order of the really good garlic bread. Food was good and it was crowded on a Friday night.

We enjoyed fabulous service and delicious food on a busy New Years Eve. We sat at the bar and there was no problem being served from the full dinner menu. Steamed clams were amazing, as was the lobster ravioli. I was very impressed with the attention to detail when there is so much activity going on. I'd recommend Mario's for an appetizer and drink at the bar or a more leisurely meal in the dining room.

Wow! What a great New Year's Eve dinner and birthday celebration! They handled our very rowdy crowd and a whole restaurant full of partiers with humor and patience. The food was excellent all around the table, own to the amazing desserts. Very attentive service. The cheesecake wowed everyone, is a must try. The polenta appetizer was only ok. Otherwise perfect meal

Very Disapointed with the service and Negative atmosphere. Our server was rude, assuming, didn't know any of the specials available, switched out my meal for something else and asked if it was alright while serving. If it wasn't alright it would have to go back to the kitchen while my date ate her food. The server was also taking care of a party of 16 and seemed very stressed out which permeated to our experience. Won't be coming back, not worth the $150 price tag for sure.

Food was absolutely delicious. I had the four cheese rigatoni and my girlfriend had the chicken Marsala. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that there weee two women at the bar who were clearly being over served (on a Monday) one fell out of her seat then sat back down and ordered a bottle of wine with her friend. Atmosphere was a bit louder than I would like as well.

A group of 6 of us went for my 50th birthday, made reservations weeks in advance. The service was terrible, they seem annoyed that we had to pry the wait staff away from their cell phones. We had 6 alcohol drinking adults. Could we get cocktails?? 30 minutes.... The food was mediocre, at best. My girlfriend ordered a specific fish. When it came, it look like someone ran and got it from the Long John Silver drive thru. She sent it back and the staff was RUDE! She asked for a bowl of pasta with just meat sauce instead and they were very upset about that. The manager then proceeded to come out

Came here with my wife and friend and was pleasantly surprised our total experience. Sat down at the bar and the bartender was ever so friendly. He pointed out some of his favorite dishes on the menu while pouring us our drinks. After a bit we sat down at our table and got ready to enjoy some appetizers and a meal.

This was my first time to Mario's Portafino. We were seated quickly and our server came over as soon as we were seated to get us started on some drinks which was great. She brought me 3 samples of wine to choose from per my request and I quickly decided and placed my order for an appetizer as well. A friend came from out of town and said that he wanted to try a casual Italian place. I'd heard from a couple of friends that Mario's was a good place to go. I'd been to a few another Italian places and was ready for something new. Mario's didn't dissapoint. We got a comfy booth right away. A server brought bread and water. Everything that a great Italian family style restaurant should be was found in my first meal here. Came here for the convenience, but found a gem. Real white linen tablecloths? Are you kidding me? And I felt like everyone was a "regular" diner because the wait staff seemed to know most people's names! I want them to get to know my name too. I'll be back soon. Well done.

Great food. We scored on some basic entree’s that were prepared amazingly. We had spaghetti and meatballs and fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. Our appetizer was mozzarella caprese. For dessert we had the panna cotta. Anthony did a great job. Pay servers more than minimum wage plz. We kept eating before taking pictures also so don’t blame Anthony for the horrible presentation HR

It was very, very busy tonight and we still had the best time. It was our first time in and our server Tyler let us know it was busy ahead of time, but took such good care of us we didn't notice. We were busy eating apps, bread and drinks and enjoying the bar area while we waited for our food. The owner came by and said hi and was so nice and lovely to chat with.
Overall an amazing experience. I had the pancetta zucchini fusilli for dinner and it was SO GOOD! I really recommend it. We will be making this our regular spot and we can't wait to come back.

Came by Mario's for my birthday with some friends. This time around, it was a disappointment. I had the stuffed pasta, which was bland and the portion was small. The soup of the day was good, it was artichoke. First time having a soup like that. Biggest disappointment was my friend got the gnocchi with pesto. Now, the dish has no meat, perfect right. Nope, they added chicken in and we let the server know chicken was added by mistake and our friend is a vegetarian. Server took the dish back and came back 3 mins later with a new dish. 70% through eating, saw there was still two small pieces

Felt like Italian tonight and decided to try Mario's. Order the Calamari Fritti for an appetizer and then the Pollo Parmigiana, the Pollo San Remo, and the Shrimp Scampi for dinner. Calamari was delicious and the San Remo was great, but we were not a fan of the Spaghetti(?) that they give as a side. Thought it could be a bit more flavorful. The Chicken Parmigiana was decent, but the Shrimp Scampi was on point. Would definitely return or order again! Called in to place our order, it was ready in about 20 minutes and still hot by the time we got home 😌👍🍽🍝❤

This restaurant exceeded my expectations! I loved the food, the ambiance, and the staff. Our party of 7 had a reservation ahead of time. We were seated in a room in the back of the restaurant, which was so nice because it was quiet in there.
We got bread and garlic bread for the table to start. I love that the entrees come with your choice of soup or salad included. I got the minestrone soup - delicious! Everyone in our party ordered a unique entree, and they all came out to everyone's liking. I personally got the pesto gnocchi and it did not disappoint! Yum!

I'm so glad that I finally went here, I have heard so many good things about this restaurant from friends and family. It did not disappoint!! I cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. We had takeout from Mario's Portofino last night. It was our first time there, but my sis-in-love is in town and definitely wanted to get a Mario's fix while she is here. She is crazy about their Pollo Parmigiana (and says that it is the best in town), but chose another fave last night. It was the Melanzane Parmigiana, which is baked eggplant with marinara and mozzarella. It looked amazing.
My teen and I were definitely in a Spaghetti and Meatball mood last night. We can both get that way sometimes...lol Tasty meatballs and amazing marinara can truly make our day.
