Our dentists at GR Family Dental are dedicated to helping patients achieve their best smiles. The goal of preventative dentistry is to prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues. The best way to protect your smile is to see your dentist for an oral examination and teeth cleaning every six months. That way, we'll be able to catch small issues before they grow into larger problems.
Dr. Mancewicz graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1976 and was the youngest graduate in his class at the age of 22. He has been in private practice in Grand Rapids since 1976 and is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the West Michigan Dental Association.
Kim graduated from Ferris State University and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2000. She joined Dr. Mancewicz' staff that same year and holds a certificate for administering local anesthetic. Kim has a passion for providing a positive difference in her patient's dental health.
Joan has been assisting Dr. Gary Mancewicz since he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976. After taking a sabbatical to raise her family, Joan rejoined our dental team and makes her patient's care and comfort a priority. In her spare time, Joan enjoys refinishing furniture, walking, and spending time with her family that includes seven children and four grandkids.

My daughter has been an orthotropic patient of Dr Gibbs for 8 years, and she had her very👏🏻 last 👏🏻appt 👏🏻today👏🏻🎉. Bioblock therapy was an answer to prayer for her. Dr Gary, Rob the Lab Tech, and the team at GR Family Dental quite literally saved my wedding (and potentially life).
I woke up the morning before my wedding with a misplaced “flapper” retainer which meant a missing tooth (see photos). Thank God I found GR Family Dental who was delightful to work with, able to fit me in on a Friday morning, and most importantly able to quickly craft a new flapper and tooth for me.
I got so many compliments on my wedding day smile, and most importantly, was not murdered by my beautiful wife.

Since day one, they have been great. No one likes going to the dentist but they make it very easy and as painless as possible. The prices are very fair and everyone is very nice and happy to help. Reliable place for regular dental cleanings. Dentists, hygienists, and front desk staff are all very friendly. I came here from my dad's recommendation after having a nightmare experience with Aspen, and have recommended them to other family members since.
You'll leave with a toothbrush kit and reminder card for your next appointment. They were also very accessible over the phone when I had questions about coverage with my new insurance plan.

For years I was afraid of going to the dentist because of a horrible experience I had with one dentist. The only time I would go is if I was in pain. These guys made me feeling so welcomed.
