I have 19 years of extensive experience working with patients who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, career development, identity confusion and LGBTQ issues.
I work well with survivors of trauma (physical, sexual, emotional) and with clients who have physical symptoms (headaches, sleep disturbance, digestive problems, muscle tension) that are connected to psychological processes (stress, anger, worry, dissociation).In addition to psychotherapy, I teach and practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques and use EMDR (eye movement or other bilateral stimulation) as needed.

I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they are striving for.
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis and depend upon a person's resources and ability to pay. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Note that most health insurance plans farm out mental health services to other insurance plans for mental health and chemical dependency coverage.
People naturally have the ability to process most of the events we encounter in our lives. In most cases, the brain processes a traumatic or difficult experience so that it can be stored in our "normal" memory. Ideally, we can then recall such memories without feeling highly stressed or retraumatized.
