Renesha is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with wide-ranging experience treating children, adolescents and adults with complex social and behavioral health needs including those struggling with co-morbid medical and mental health difficulties.

Her work experience includes treatment of children, youth and families receiving services through in-home, professional office setting, group homes, drug and rehab facilities, and school-based services. Her goal is to meet client's needs by providing research-based treatment from an affirming and developmentally conscious perspective.
Private Pay therapists do not have to diagnose in order to provide therapy services. This allows private pay therapists to work with you on any presenting issue. Most health insurance companies require a client to be diagnosed within the first session in order to receive treatment. This diagnosis also becomes part of a clients permanent record.
We assist teens to overcome adolescent challenges and life transitions. We find it is beneficial for teens to have a support system in place while navigating through these difficult years. Some of the challenges throughout the teenage years may include: school stress, trauma, grief/loss, substance abuse, peer related issues, suicidal thoughts/self-harm behaviors, and more.
Mental health conditions can emerge in the late teens and early twenties. This can be difficult to handle while navigating way through an already complicated phase of life. Young adults can be vulnerable to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Young adults can greatly benefit from support of a therapist and/or case manager to transition from adolescence to adulthood as new roles and expectations emerge.
The Youth Prevention and Intervention Program is an initiative to focus on reducing at risk behaviors including gun violence in youth and teens within the Greater Louisville community. Martin and Muir is dedicated to reducing disparities to access mental health services among at risk minority youth, teens, and young adults.
