Services
These therapists have joined together to create an association of professionals designed to bring counseling services to the Chicago metropolitan and surrounding areas. Not all helping professionals are qualified or experienced in the area of helping couples, particularly if the couple is in crisis or if there are underlying issues which may be causing emotional distress.
At Couples Counseling Chicago, we believe that when two people make the active choice to enter couples therapy, they are making one of the most important and healthiest decisions of their lives. In this way, we promote a strength based approach that focuses on what is going right with a relationship instead of what's going wrong.
At the Couples Counseling Center, we start with the premise that something is right in a relationship and use a strength based approach as a starting point. Couples counseling is designed to help people in relationships explore barriers that are keeping them from reaching emotional, physical and economic stability.
Sex therapy is one of those terms that conjure up all sorts of mental imagery. Some people think sex therapy means hiring someone to stand in as a surrogate while others mistakenly believe it is some kind of high-end escort service. Here is the deal - sex therapy isn't any of those things! At its core, sex therapy is a clinical form of counseling designed to help a person or a couple with a given sexual problem.
Finding out that your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend has been cheating on you can be simply devastating. For many individuals, discovering an act (or acts) of infidelity can lead to the collapse of a relationship. According to research published in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, it is estimated that around 40% of men and woman have engaged in some type of infidelity (emotional or physical).

Update: changing 1 star to 4 stars because I woke up to reply to my review here as well as to message on Fb messenger. Mistakes happen and I don't know how but the phone nr they have on file was not the one I left - not even close to it. But the way they responded and deal with this situation shows their dedication. I was very frustrated and disappointed when I left my original review - I think everyone would be if they felt ignored, but again as I said mistakes happen and I really appreciate their response.
I'm not leaving 1 star because people who work there are bad at their job - I wouldn't

I needed relationship counseling for ongoing problems with my love life. I started working with Hannah and she helped me and my spouse with our intimacy problems. She was patient and kind and deeply intuitive. But she was also balanced, direct and fair. I've been to other therapists in Lakeview but she was by far ine the best. I've gained new clarity and so has my wife.we are do much closer now.

We came in for help with some communications problems and worked with Alan. I’ve seen with many counselors before and I have to say he was the best couples therapist I’ve worked in a long time. He showed us new techniques for communicating and did a great job of helping us identify triggers to arguments. We also appreciated the candid feedback and homework assignments.
