Psychotherapy provides the opportunity to reflect on one's life, understand one's feelings and behaviors, learn new perspectives and to be listened to with attention. The therapeutic process allows for the healing of wounds, reclaiming of dreams and living a life that is more authentic and meaningful. People can come to therapy motivated by the desire for change or the issue may be one or more of the following areas in which I specialize.
Services
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona, received my Master's Degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona (1986) and have been in private practice for the past thirty years. I work with adults, providing individual and couples therapy. My earlier training was in Secondary Education.
I recommend that after six to eight sessions, we evaluate if your goals have been addressed and you wish to terminate or if you wish to continue therapy to explore these goals or other issues that have come into awareness. This depends on the motivation for therapy. Some people wish to continue therapy in order to enhance the individuation process - the process of becoming an individual.
