We placed an online pick up order thru El Chubby’s website. When we got home we discovered that NONE of the special instructions went thru. It turns out that their online order system goes thru DoorDash and for orders placed online—special instructions do not go thru to the restaurant. The restaurant took ZERO responsibility for this. The food was tasteless and not what we ordered. Just spend 15 minutes on hold with DoorDash for them to refund our money.

I asked for a smothered onion ring. So, when I got to the window they now told me they don’t have smothered onion rings after waiting inline for 10 min. And to add insult to injury, the lady called me a “sir” where I clearly have the linings of a female parts and clothings on. When I said excuse me, she ignored the statement she made and said sorry for the wait. So this Chubbys is nothing like the Original one. Their green chili is way watery and have next to no flavor or kick. It’s only $6 down the drain but now not to come here again.

This place is an hour away from my home. I use to love it it use to have great authentic taste. Would not recommend at all now. The fries are bland and the carne is heavily over cooked. today we decided to take some tamales home for dinner. We ordered all red they gave us all green and one red. When I called for a refund we were met with nothing but unkindness and attitude. She wanted us to drive the hour back to redeliver their product. Don’t get me wrong we tried to give these a shot. They are soggy and only half filled. Hardly any filling to begin with. Don’t waste your time or your money

Usually I have no complaints and LOVE Chubbys but today I was sooo disappointed my fries were Soggy as if they were reheated nothing was seasoned the steak tasted like they literally took it out of the package and just cooked it no seasoning
I got the Carne Asada Fries and the sauce tasted plain like it was canned … NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL😳💔…idk what happened but it just wasn’t what I’m use to
I hope to go back later on down the road in hopes of the same great food they are known for
