Once you realize that the road is the goal, and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple. There is one Link, one Life eternal, which unites everything in the universe, - animate and inanimate, - one wave of Life flowing through everything.

Whenever you notice that some form of negativity has arisen within you, look on it not as a failure, but as a helpful signal that is telling you: 'Wake up. Get out of your mind. Be present.' Tell me, what is it you plan to do with this one precious life? Compassion and intuition characterize my style and I consider truth, the present moment, and the body as rich sources of information in therapeutic work.

The HAKOMI method is a core element of my practice. Hakomi is a body-centered approach combining the Eastern traditions of mindfulness and non-violence with a unique, highly effective Western methodology. With safety and connection between therapist and client, core material can be accessed rapidly, re-evaluated and when helpful, transformed for a fuller experience of life.
Anxiety is a very common issue - with more than 3 million cases in the US per year. Most people experience anxiety in some form or another. However, when anxiety is out of proportion to the events it is related to and you experience it as interfering with your daily functioning, it is wise to ask for help to reduce further unnecessary suffering.
Have you noticed a diminished interest in activities, lack of energy, or low self-esteem?. Depression is very common issue that many people face in some form or another, with over 3 million cases in the US per year. Therapy can be helpful in getting to the root of these symptoms, learning to experience more happiness and joy in your life and to feel more engaged and connected on a consistent basis.
Counseling can be a way to investigate relationship issues in a safe, supportive atmosphere - one that aids in and fosters more effective communication, leading to a more fulfilling relationship with your partner and others. These examples demonstrate a range of ways that intimate relationship conflicts can manifest.
Have you experienced the death of someone close to you, a divorce or ending of an important relationship, or the loss of a job?. Taking time to slow down and actually allow oneself to grieve can be difficult in today's busy, fast-paced world and a culture which does not often have many social structures supporting this process.

I had an comforting connection the first time I met Carey. She is warm, present, and very bright and a gifted and one of a kind therapist. Her skills encompass many orientations that allow for a deep and transformational experience. I always feel met and accepted in her presence and she really understands the healing process from the inside out. If you desire changes in your life that will truly make a difference than I would strongly suggest becoming one of her clients.
