I have thoroughly enjoyed living here for the last year! Every employee I have come into contact with has been amazing. Erica in the office has to be one of the best property managers I have met. Office staff (Sara) is extremely friendly and maintenance guys (Filipe and Tyler) are very quick and efficient at correcting any and all requests I have put in. It’s been a pleasure living here and I look forward to the year to come here :)

Overall happy to be finally out. Just want to point how weird the front office is to take things out on their residents, the lying, disrespect, disregard. Its so ridiculous its like the come to work specifically to make living there a irritating experience. You can not take up any grievances with the front office as you will either be ignored and have it used against you for some reason. The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful to actual residents. Walking by the front door seeing people wait to talk to the office pushing people out the door for trying to go in the office Elevator breaks down

I’ve been at Block C for 3 years now, and we have loved living here. We’ve lived in a two bedroom and a studio apartment and have loved both + it’s a wonderful location with restaurants and a coffee shop down below. Additionally, Sara Matic, who is the first person we met in the leasing office and one of the reasons we have been at Block C for so long is amazing! She is so charismatic, attentive, and goes above and beyond for her residents. Couldn’t be more appreciative of the ways she makes Block C feel like home.

Sara M made the application and move in process easy! She was very helpful and answered our questions promptly and efficiently. The apartment was ready for move in. From what we can tell so far the property is well maintained and clean. Love the restaurants that are near by. So far so good and we appreciate all the help from Sara Matic!

I Lived at block c for almost 2 years and the first one was great. Close to school, nice, modern etc . .... Once we renewed and the management changed everything went downhill. The management is horrible and I couldn't be happier to be out of that place. I thought it would be majority college students but that not the case since we were consistently woken up by kids screaming and riding scooters at 7 am. Which was funny because I got a complaint for playing music at 3pm in my room. Also you can't even sit in your living room with French doors open unless you want a complaint no matter

Scam artists - would give negative stars if I could. These guys love to rip tenants off on move out. They charged me the cost of repainting the ENTIRE apartment for a few scuffs and dings from the 18 months that I lived there. THIS IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR as per CA tenants law.
Not to mention that during the last 3 months of my lease (which was summer 2020 - when about 110 degrees in San Marcos) the A/C unit failed and they couldn't get a part to fix it. My son and I were sweltering in inhumane conditions and they didn't care.

A huge thanks to Samantha in the leasing office for all your assistance with the application process! Any questions we had, you were on top of it all and made the process so much easier! A huge thanks to John & Erika as well for answering all our questions and always being there to assist us! I’ve been looking for an apartment for almost two months. The rental market is crazy right now. I was just about ready to give up. I came across Block C on apartment finder and decided to see it in person. Super clean apartments and great amenities.the only thing I feel like I settled on is the distance to my work. But that’s not anyone’s fault but my own. Samantha and John at the leasing office are awesome! They were so helpful and made the whole process easy. I am super happy I made the decision to move here.

Eh. Lived here for a year. Managers are miserable. Super rude. No respect at all for their residents. Extremely loud and rude neighbors. Floors are thin, meaning you will constantly hear footsteps above you. Lots of young kids, but of course they aren't allowed to tell you that because they know it will make you second guess. Parking is a very long walk from apartments (depending on where you live) it gets old very fast. It feels like living in a college dorm.

The absolute worst experiences with management. They are beyond unhelpful, unprofessional, rude, careless, and mainly do not care for the residents. The only positive experience I've had with a staff member is Sara. Everyone else is completely negligent.
After being a loyal resident for 2 years, renewing will not be an option anymore.
Any issue a resident is having is essentially the "resident's fault". They put in zero time or effort to personally help out their residents. They are not accountable and reliable property managers.

I am writing this review as I am walking away from the property. What a god awful experience!
Let me preface this by saying that I was the first appointment of the day at 9 AM.
I made my way to the leasing office and it was completely closed due to COVID so there was no where for me to sit. The first woman that arrived was not friendly or welcoming what so ever. The second woman that arrived was welcoming, even though, she ended up being a few minutes late starting the tour.
We begin by walking towards the "tour" and she tells me that it is a self guided tour. Then I start asking

I feel like I am living in a heavenly resort, everything is pretty and well maintained. I moved here from Oregon and found all staff to be very helpful. Covid precautions are carefully observed by staff. I was able to have a virtual tour of my unit, and my family was able to come and check things out for me.
Sara M was exceptional with her very quick responses, full knowledge, patience with my many questions, and cheerful attitude.
This building has a friendly village feel, with lots of services part of the package. I really like that there is always a parking spot in the parking structure

I've been living here for a month now and I absolutely love it! Everything is so nice and you feel so secure and safe. Sara Matic is by far the sweetest, selfless, all around amazing Leasing Consultant. She has been extremely helpful since day 1. She is extremely understanding and is always there to answer any possible questions! I wish we could see her more often, but with COVID it's just waves!!! :))

I moved to Block C from Chicago, IL in October of 2019 and Sara helped make the move so much easier and continued to be extremely helpful and responsive throughout my entire time living there. From answering any and all questions I had prior to my moving to California, to going above and beyond to help with any maintenance issues, general questions I had or offering to help comfort my little chinchilla during fire alarm tests, Sara made my time at Block C all the more enjoyable and welcoming!! I never once had a bad interaction with any of the staff members, on the contrary any office, maintenance

I have lived at block c since 2018! I have never had a problem with the apartment or staff! I love working with Sara Matic! She is always so happy and always helping my roommates and I out! My husband and I love living here! It is like living in a resort! The pool area is beautiful and we are walking distance from Newtopia, Urge, Umami Sushi, Copa Vida Coffee, Prep kitchen and more!! John, Jessica and Sara are amazing managers- They attend to your every need, and are always responsive and kind! Once there was a tenants cat missing and they all put the word out and helped find the cat! The cooking classes are so much fun! At the last class we learned how to grill!!

Just recently moved here and I'm loving it! The amenities are great and kept in good conditions. I love the modern feel of Block C, as well as the distance it is from Cal State San Marcos, which is very convenient for me. MUCH better price for what they give me here than at the dorms for that college. If you need a place that is within walking distance to CSUSM, I recommend here!

Life has been great since my move from Prominence to Block C. John and Jessica are both excellent property managers. The move in was smooth, and they have been very kind and attentive to all of our questions or requests.
Pros:
-The complex has awesome amenities that are never over crowded.
-Community grounds are well maintained.
-My service requests have all been fulfilled within 24 hours.
-Courtesy patrol was quick and helpful when I texted about my upstairs neighbor playing loud music at night.
-Parking is no longer an issue for us with two cars. The garage has ample resident parking. Some
