Margie's was established in 1953, and is one of Fort Worth's oldest Italian Restaurants. For over 58 years we have been loyal in our service to the people who visit us. Margie is gone but her memory and tradition of serving fine food lives on. Margie's persistence in finding the best way to prepare her meals has stuck with us, so all of our food is made from scratch daily using only the finest ingredients.
In addition all of our menu items are made to order to ensure quality and freshness. Our portions are made large so everyone can take a little of Margie's home. Guests at our family table love the "Vera Cucina" food we serve and always ask for our "secret". We always respond "Use only the finest ingredients and always prepare them the same proven way".

Waited well over an hour for our food. No attention or updates from server. They did comp our bread and wine (two glasses served in juice glasses). Did not even realize they charge for bread. It is so dark that it is almost impossible to read the menu. Other customers came and went while we waited. Love their house salad and will continue to get for take out.

Actual Prices do not reflect on line menu prices which attracted us to the place. Very low lighting and could not read the menu prices. Print extremely small. Ordered the lobster “dip” for appetizer. Ordered the veal marsala and eggplant parmesan. The salads came out first after a long wait for along time. They forgot about the appetizer. They said it was in the oven and forgotten! My wife’s veal came out first and they did not bring my eggplant dish out until she was almost done with her food. Seems they forgot the eggplant dish too. Food was hot when it came out but mediocre flavor and

I Love this place. One of the best kept secrets in Fort Worth. Food is awesome, service was great. Old fashion style Italian restaurant. The only thing to watch for:
They will ask if you want garlic bread, by the way is reasonably priced. They do charge for each loaf. My family can eat a lot of it. Well worth the $ but felt like it should have been disclosed of the charges.

This restaurant is like finding the Italian Mom & Pop gem you've been looking for! The reviews don't do it justice. Upon pulling up to the place it looks like it's been there for a billion years, but don't let the shabby exterior deter you. Our meal started with the muscles and artichoke/brie dip, both were great. Then onto a side salad (which was rather large) then lasagna and spaghetti & meatballs. The lasagna was delicious and the meatball was really tender with a hearty sauce. I can not wait to go back again and try some more items.

I really liked the nostalgia of this place. Small, quiet and feels like a throwback. Had crab fingers to start, they were good! The butter/garlic sauce was amazing. Ask for more bread though to soak it up. The house salad was much better (and bigger) that I was imagining. Also had tomato basil soup; it was a bit too cheesy for my taste. The lasagna and steak was delicious. Also, had the linguini with shrimp and mushrooms. That too was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but after adding some of that butter/garlic sauce it was much better. Topped it off with a desert, tiramisu. Saving that for later

The staff was tremendously courteous and the food was wonderful. The portions were extremely generous, and the atmosphere is simultaneously Italian and Texan. It just feels like being home with family, perhaps because that's how things are run. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for a fantastic dinner! Thanks even more for the best service I've had in a long time.
