Carefully curated and always updated with the best of Italian, French, and domestic wine, Plate's wine list boasts a broad array of wine to complement any palate. Plate Restaurant is proud to utilize the Wine Emotion preservation system. The Italian preservation system allows the distribution of finer wines by the glass, while preserving the contents for up to 60 days.

Grabbed brunch at Plate this morning and it was delish! I started with an Irish coffee, which was perfect for the cold morning. We then ordered the donuts, cinnamon roll, and garlic bread for starters. It was A TON of food for the 5 of us, but they were all so good, I'm not sure which i wouldn't have ordered! Since their pasta is made in-house, I had to get it. I got the pappardelle, and it was amazing. Noodles were perfect, the sauce had great flavor, and the meat was tender and juicy. I would order it again in a heartbeat. Service was good. I'll definitely be back!

First had a White Russian for the first time in like forever and it is a great brunch cocktail.
Then we had all the carbs to start the meal. The donuts were great, light with a orange pistachio mascarpone that I want on every donut moving forward. So good. The bread was good, but the truffle garlic butter made it great!! The icing on the cinnamon roll, well it was just the icing on the cake . Everything was homemade and you could tell.
Then for entrees we had the carbonara and the chicken+risotto. The pasta for the carbonara was made in house. It was really

What a fantastic experience! My wife and I, and two other couples dined here on a Saturday night and had an absolutely wonderful time. We were able to sample many appetizers, main pasta dishes, desserts and cocktails. EVERY DISH was better than the last. Nothing disappointed. Homeruns included fried risotto balls, the pappardelle with pork, the garlic bread (yes, it was that good it was worth special mention), and the pistachio torte. We have held 2 separate office group events at Plate. The food and experience has been nothing short of fantastic! Our experience coordinator, Beau Fodor, was extremely on point with all of his suggestions, and he arranged for a beautiful private solo from singers from the KC opera on our recent dinner. On both occasions, Chef Christian Joseph was extraordinary in his dish selections and the multiple course experiences he provided. 5 star rating doesn't do it justice. We will definitely be back!

Great and worthy restaurant!
Their recipes have a unique personal touch. Food is very tasty (just like the other top Italian restaurants in the USA).
Staff was very professional, attentive and friendly.
Spacious, and a very nice modern decoration (a beautiful plus, compared to other top of the line Italian restaurants here in KC).
Reasonably priced. Perfect location.

Last night was our second visit to Plate. We had Sunday Brunch here earlier this year in summer, and we were just here for dinner on a Friday night. Great menu and wonderful dining experiences , but a different vibe on these two occasions. Sunday brunch was very low key and laid back and we almost had the place to ourselves. This place is a little hard to review because the food quality was excellent, but all of our entrees were lukewarm. We were one of about four tables in the entire restaurant. We did come for a brunch, but that still no excuse not to have hot meals. Bravo to the chef on the garlic bread. My husband like the chicken parmesan and the tiramisu is probably one of the best I've ever had. The rest is just hard to review because it wasn't warm.

Just an absolutely phenomenal meal. My girlfriend and I opted to sit in the outdoor patio during sunset, but the dimly lit indoor space also seemed lovely.
The prix fixe was an excellent deal ($68 for a cold antipasti, salad, two pasta entrees, and shared dessert). I loved the beef carpaccio and moderno salad. The texture of the pappardelle was perfect, though the dish was pretty heavy. I think my favorite dish was the rigatoni e gamberi. I personally loved the tiramisu, though my girlfriend felt it needed more espresso (but honestly what does she know, her opinion on this matter is useless).

My family and I love this place! We've only sat on the patio but it is lovely and spaced out. I can truly say that this is one of the best burgers i've ever had simply because they use the best ingredients. I know, who gets a burger at an italian restaurant but i have had the pasta (which is amazing, fresh, and to die for) so i wanted to switch it up and try the Happy Hour Menu and i was not disappointed. The price was right too! This place is pricey, but it is up scale and you get what you pay for. Perfect for a date or after work cocktail. They definitely do not skimp on portions. go

Nice Italian restaurant. Has a parking structure right next to it so it's convenient. We sat on the patio in a drizzle day but it was nice. We ordered cappacio, a salad and gnocchi. I think they all tasted quite good. The meatball in the gnocchi with the sauce was very good. The only downside is the service is bit slow. Not sure if this is because of the pandemic and they are short of people, but it took us about almost 50 min waiting time for 3 dishes. But we also saw some other people get their dishes super fast. So not sure what's going on.
