Kim, a native to Seattle, graduated from Western Washington University in 1999 with her B.A. in accounting. After graduation, Kim worked several years at McGladrey & Pullen performing compilations, audits and reviews for various types of businesses, in addition to assisting clients with tax compliance and planning.
Kim later spent several years at Pacific Northwest Bank and Vulcan in their respective financial reporting departments. Missing the challenges offered in public accounting as well as diverse client interaction, Kim left Vulcan and started MAS in 2006. Jon is also native to Seattle.

Due to the ever changing nature of federal, state and local tax laws, it is important to work with tax advisors who constantly stay abreast of new legislation. We attend regular training to ensure we are well equipped to deal with a multitude of tax issues. Additionally, we have the technical resources available which enable us to research areas where uncertainty exists.

Number crunching magicians up in here! I followed Aaron from his previous firm to MAS and would never go anywhere else. They are organized, efficient and offer expert advice for a reasonable fee. The office is in Ballard and I live in Issaquah but only need to drive there about 1x/year. It's a great team they've put together. Thanks for keeping me out of jail and all paid up in taxland but certainly not overpaid!

First, I feel badly giving a small business a poor review, however, I have real concerns about how MAS operates their business.
I have used MAS for 6-7 years for my annual taxes. Every year, I have turned my paperwork in and I receive a call when it's complete with no questions asked! Easy...I thought. However, I switched this year to another company after being dissatisfied with MAS for the reasons in this review. Not only did I pay 75% less than what MAS was charging me, but I also received a couple of calls asking for clarification and met with someone in-person at the end to review

I have been working with the Principles of MAS for several years and couldn't be happier! The level of care and detail they provide me as a small client is incomparable to a large firm, they treat me as if I am one of their biggest clients. In addition to the care in their work they also genuinely care about their clients. I would recommend this firm to anyone who is looking for a quality CPA firm.
