We got here right as they opened, and the first thing we noticed was how fantastic service was. We were seated quickly and given great recommendations, and the server was really down to earth and honest about his on personal favorite picks. We had also noticed the staff was pretty familiar with a table near us who seemed like regulars, which is usually a great sign in my book. Honestly, this place would be a 4 for food, but the service really pushed it to a 5 for me.

One of their highlights is a vodka infused with jalapeno that's made in house. We didn't want to do a full cocktail, so

This is my new favorite restaurant. Their food is insanely good (my favorites so far are the crawfish pasta and the chocolate soufflé). The customer service is super nice. On my boyfriends birthday we came here because we couldn't find any restaurant that was open late at night, and the server Mondo saw us and helped us out. They were closing the kitchen but they reopened it for us and made us dinner. I love this place and I love Mondo. Thank you!

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Great food, decent drinks (try the Cajun martini) and obscene desserts in a fun, festive atmosphere. Most nights the entire restaurant sings Louie Armstrong's What a Wonderful World. How cool is that?
Personal notes: Cajun martini has a great presentation. Jambalaya is good but wish it were more bold. (UPDATE: Still not as much flavor as I want) The royal pasta is epic. It has so much flavor. Its big enough for two. The pork chop is great. It has a brown sugar sauce that's awesome.(UPDATE: No longer on menu but sometimes as a special.). The gumbo appetizer

The food was delicious and the service was great! I had the crawfish ettouffee and my husband had the shrimp and crawfish pasta. We are half and switched plates so that we could enjoy both meals. They were rich and filling and satisfied the palette. Our kid had butter pasta and he ate it all. We ended with the Louisiana Bread Pudding. It was a delightful Creole experience in California.

Sometimes living in SB we forget about awesome places we have in “our backyard”
We have been visiting the Palace since it opened.
Last night, Mondo and the staff put out an excellent spread of food, accompanied by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The team at the Palace made visiting Jennifer feel like Royalty.
We will always turn to the Palace for a great meal and fun evening!!

Do yourself a favor and come here for dinner to celebrate something. Anything. Not only do they have incredible food and friendly staff, they have pint sized craft cocktails for $16 and organize restaurant-wide singing during dinner. There's also a magician who may come by if you're waiting a while for your pork chop or bread pudding (well worth the wait). From the food, to the service, to the drinks, to the singing, this place cheered me up. I honestly love this place so much and cannot wait to come back!

What an unexpected surprise! My sister came to visit me yesterday and I thought I would take her out to dinner. We just couldn't figure out where! I googled seafood and this restaurant came up. I've lived here 6 years and never heard of this gem.

Wonderful service! Fast and delicious food! Great drinks. The staff was just so kind! 5 stars all around. Can't wait to go back!

Located right off of Santa Barbara's famous State Street, The Palace Grill offers flavorful authentic Louisiana Cajun recipes along with Caribbean dishes and Creole-Italian pastas.

During my dining experience here, I thoroughly enjoyed their Banana Nut and Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Muffins, the Jambalaya Sauce Piquante, and of course their Palace Chocolate Souffle, yum! All were delicious and definitely were a treat to my taste buds! I also had a bottle of their Mardi Gras Bock beer by Abita Brewing which is similar to German maibocks with its rich malt flavor and full body. It was the perfect

This was a very cute place and the ambiance was cozy as well. The food was delicious and came out fast, we wanted a good drink but non alcoholic and our waitress Robyn made a good suggestion of a fruity margarita. Me and my friend will come back as we enjoyed ourselves very much. Very good food, portions and friendly service.

No lines, no wait, no soul

Been coming here for close to 25 years. Service, atmosphere, menu was still the same.

Food was unfortunately not the same . The shrimp was fishy, the andouille was cut smaller than a pencil eraser, the crawfish a little "odd" and everything was watery. The bread pudding was just ok, and the soufflé was a dense cake that didn't rise to any occasion.

I'm sad, this was my favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara, and it looks like Covid took its soul.

So good!
Everything we had tasted great. Okay, so the food was a bit rich. Can't eat this everyday. But definitely a spot to eat at when in Santa Barbara.
From the oysters to the main dishes to the bread pudding soufflé, it was amazing! See photos!

My family and I were in town for 2 days and were looking for a place to eat on our 2nd night there. We couldn't decide where at first but after doing a little research came across this gem. We love Cajun food and that is what caught our attention and we were all glad we picked The Palace Grill.
The atmosphere was great, the decor of the place was very cool. We had our seats in the back patio area which gave a sense of being in a little ally down in New Orleans some where which was great. What can I say about the food besides that it was awesome.

We ordered the Cajun Popcorn, 1 of each the

So glad that we found this gem! Excellent Louisiana style food and warm hospitality. The ambience was cozy and jazzy with a nice touch of the interior decoration. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. A huge shout out to Robin, who gave us a warm welcome, for helping us decide which dishes to try out and make our experience memorable. The complimentary muffins was a great gesture that showed the restaurant's hospitality. They were a great start for our dinner.

We got Filet Mignon and Blackened Salmon for the main dishes, and Bread pudding for dessert. Be sure to save some room for dessert

Great service, dog friendly and good food. We love coming to Santa Barbara and appreciate the outdoor dining options. If its your first time, start with the popcorn crawfish and the oysters palace. This is great for 2 people and you'll have room to share a dish or two. We shared the JAMBALAYA SAUCE PIQUANTE and the CREOLE CRAWFISH CRABCAKES. The Jambalaya was very flavorful and we really enjoyed it. The crab cake was just average. Did I mention the delicious muffins? The Banana Walnut & Jalapeno Cheddar Corn muffins were a hit with our daughter. We tried the BREAD PUDDING SOUFFLÉ and

Last night I went with my boss and some co-workers for a celebration dinner. We called since we were a big group, a party of 11. Our first dinner in a restaurant since the pandemic.

We got to the restaurant & our group took up a good portion of the inside. The staff were friendly and attentive and OMG the food! We got a few orders of the muffins, oysters and popcorn crawfish. Wow, so much flavor! The Oysters were warm and had a sauce. You can taste all the different spices that are used in the popcorn crawfish.

I had the crawfish pasta and the trend of spice and flavor continued. There were

Friendly staff (relatable). The waiter continuously came and filled our water cups. Appetizers were full of flavor. Good portions. We could have done without the Shrimp Filled Po Boy. It was ok for us. COVID restrictions enforced; which made us more comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

I'm so glad I decided to try this place!! Came here on an extremely windy Monday evening with a friend. At first, I thought they were closed because I saw the front area was empty but after a few seconds of looking and poking around, a waiter came out and let us know that they were open and actually had seating in the back! I was so glad to hear that because it was so windy and the walls in the back helped protect against the wind!!

We sat down and the ~vibes~ were very New Orleans-esque which I LOVED. They played music and had lights strung up. Inside the restaurant (which is closed now

Hi SB, this is a warning to avoid The Palace Grill. In my food was a napkin and a receipt for 2 days ago (1/25/21) crumbled in a ball and cooked into my food. I didn't find it until after it was in my mouth. I brought it back to the restaurant and they comfirmed that it is from their restaurant and from 2 days ago.

I'm not sure how a restaurant that has 3 employees in it has trash laying around for 2 days that gets cooked into a dish, especially in a time of exteme sanitation. I can not explain to you how thorough disgusted I am.

This restaurant is fabulous! They bring New Orleans (we love the food there) to the west coast! We had the spicy martini, crawfish etouffee, and seafood gumbo. We sat on the patio in the back which had plenty of space. Our server, "Fern" short for Fernando and a number of names he has been given over the years, including "Mad Dog" was great. There is also street-side seating on Cota St. which is great for people watching and visiting with other guests. We always try to eat at the Palace Grill when visiting with family in Goleta and Santa Barbara.

I love love love this place. I don't know if I've been happier in a restaurant. I'm from NorCal and come to SB visiting friends every so often. We go here every time i visit and it's been amazing every time.
Let's talk food.
The muffins they bring out to start are tasty, interesting, and fresh
The last time I was here I had a half and half of the oysters, which I liked.
I always get the Cajun Margarita, which I basically spicy vodka. Kind of punishing and not for everyone, but I like it.
I used to get the stuffed pork chop, which was amazing, but they don't serve it any more. A blessing in
