Our Restaurant is known for our fine European and Nordic menu, whether it would be for breakfast with homemade Sausage, country potatoes and fresh large eggs or delectable homemade pastries, strudels and scones - so you'll leave happy for sure. For brunch try the Mimosas, they are the biggest "Viking Size Spectaculars".
Large meringues layered with a spread of refreshing raspberry, real organic vanilla bean whip cream, mother natures strawberries. Four 8 meringues with the wonderful spread in each layer. Our homemade vanilla applesauce mixed with slices of apples, all baked in a form, then after decorated with slices of apples and apricot glaze on top.
Official Rules: No purchase necessary to enter the competition. A winner will be randomly selected and notified via email. Andersen's Bakery will ship a Kringle to the address of your choice within the U.S. We can not ship to P.O. Boxes or International. We only ship Monday through Wednesday Noon to ensure freshness for delivery.
Andersen's bakery and restaurant in Santa Barbara's La Arcada has been making your holidays extra sweet with their array of cakes, pastry and gifts. You can pickup in person or order online and for shipping. They have been serving Danish and European cuisine and traditional desserts since 1976. At this time the restaurant is open for take out foods, desserts, and gift items from the Andersen's Hygge Hus Mercantile shop.

Our experience here was quite positive. The staff were very friendly and the environment and atmosphere were quaint and relaxed. The food was very good, especially the desserts and baked goods. It is a bit pricey for the portion size, but still not a regrettable experience in the slightest. I would reccomend The Anderson's if you want a quiet enjoyable meal while in the area.

One of my sister-in-laws treated all the girls in my family to tea for Christmas - I enjoyed it but would have preferred a selection of items to choose from as all 12 of us received the exact same sandwiches, petit four, eclair and apple pastry (strudel presumably? Their butter ring is MUCH better as it has marzipan). I love coming here to pick up pastries as they have probably a dozen items with marzipan and I am a huge fan. I gave them 4 stars because they are a bit pricey and while some items are delicious others are not (pastry can be really heavy and greasy or too dry)

Came to this place to get some treats to bring back to OC on our last day in Santa Barbara. They just opened when I arrived on a weekday and the girl at the counter was so thoughtful checking their back kitchen for fresh baked goods coming out. She was really helpful and I decided on Cinnamon Danish Deluxe and Almond Horns to go. I wish I bought more because they are delicious! If you’re visiting SB, do yourself a favor and drop by this bakery/restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you for it!

First time here. Had breakfast outside. They have a most delicious crab cake eggs benedict, the eggs were perfectly cooked. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast croissant sandwich. The few desserts we took with us to go were light, flaky and totally worth the extra calories. A piece of advice - avoid eating inside your car. The puff pastry layers will shatter and fly everywhere, just like sand from the beach. With over 300 miles to go we couldn't wait until we got home. Yeah, made a good mess in the car.

We arrived just after opening time and weren't exactly warmly welcomed. My wife is a vegetarian and was keen on a pancake dish that came with bacon. The cashier said they could hold the bacon but only after prompting said that some fruit can be served instead.
"Sit anywhere." Our table had used protective paper on it (right after opening). And the table turned out to be wildly wobbly. The waitress must have seen the resulting spilled coffee but said and did nothing. She brought my wife's pancakes with a single rasher of bacon on them. So we had to reinvent that wheel. The young man that I asked to change the table linen did it really quick.
He checked in on us several times. Our server was friendly and funny. Great service.

Just picked up some treats to take home for dessert. We just devoured the Bailey’s Brownie, and OMG! It was decadent, and totally hit the spot. Cant wait to dig into the Cinnamon Crispies! We visit Santa… Barbara often, and look forward to a stop at Andersen’s! We’ve eaten dinner there before a concert too, and it was fabulous. A must try, when in Santa Barbara. 💝

Andersen’s bakery selections are beyond exquisite. They can do any cake gluten free. And most of their desserts are gluten free already. Charlotte is the most accommodating with one of a kind selections and… spectacular holiday deals. The decor gives you a homelike feel and their new store (next door) offers bottled recipes of yummy goodies and boxed baked goods to take home. Andersen’s is a Santa Barbara landmark in La Arcada Plaza. ❤️

Yes, always and often are the thoughts you should have when Andersen's comes to mind! Go and be treated like Royalty! Delightful pastry, and hot food you will crave. Trust me when I tell you, you want a "French… Waffle" and then a Butter Ring to take home! Try a slice of princess cake, and you will have new measure for all other cakes you come across.
