Prairie Road Automotive communication is amazing, prices are competitive, and they research issues until they are fixed/have a plan for possible fixes. They check in prior to doing any additional work to confirm that the price works for the customer. They are honest and just damn good mechanics. They are the only folks I allow to touch my vehicles for services.
Few things invoke panic and dread like a car that won't start. We've all been there: sitting in the driver's seat, late for work, only to turn the key with no effect. You jiggle, pull, plead, and cajole, but nothing works and your car's not starting. Now what? Unless you're an amateur mechanic, there's little you can do to get your car on the road.

Our hours are 7:30am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and we are happy to have you stop by any time during business hours and we will discuss your vehicle needs and go for a road test with you or provide you with an estimate for repairs or service.We have a number of clients who come to us from Springfield area and we have shuttle service and rental vehicles available if we need more than one day to service your vehicle.

UPDATE: The good folks at PRA are deep diving into the tech issue and I have an appointment to take care of things with my truck. I don't mind when there is an issue, an oops, or even a total screw up as long as businesses own, apologize for it, and make things right. This was an "issue" that they wanted to resolve. That helps make a good company great! No business is perfect. I highly recommend PRA and their staff.

I am changing my review because the owner reached out and rescheduled an appointment for me to look at my car for free. They found the issue and fixed it for great price! (I got a quote from another mechanic). Everybody is super nice here too!

Don’t bother. Apparently their reputation for good service belonged to the previous general manager and when he retired full time to his farm he took it with him.
I had a narrow time frame to get some long overdue work done on my car so I made an appointment online for a full tune-up and several secondary issues that needed addressing. A week before the scheduled day I called to confirm (just in case) and sure enough they were aware of no such appointment. So I remade the appointment and reiterated what needed to be done. I arrived to drop my car to find they had only scheduled me for the most
