Willamette Valley Counseling is partner to Willamette Sky Counseling. Our boutique practice was developed with the intention to provide a welcoming, comfortable and confidential place for clients to meet with a therapist to receive support and to explore what might feel unsettled, overwhelming or confusing in their lives.
Many people turn to counseling when life presents them with challenges that they may not expect. Life stressors can bring forth anxiety, depression and other overwhelming thoughts and emotions. It can also bring forth the opportunity for growth and change. If you are looking to explore what feels raw, vulnerable, stressful, or difficult in your life, we can help you to address your concerns and goals, and to regain balance in your life.
These will include confidentiality, questions about you, and a financial statement. Information about confidentiality acknowledges your rights and responsibilities in therapy. At the end of the session, we will talk with you about what you hope to accomplish by coming to therapy and discuss a plan to help you.
While anxiety, concern and worry affect all people - at times - ongoing anxiety is much more intrusive to daily life. It can interfere with relationships, work, school, and routine activities such as grocery shopping or meeting up with friends. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy.
Most people have felt sad, down, or depressed at times. Feeling depressed can be a normal reaction to loss, failure, chronic pain, and disappointment. But, if you are experiencing sadness, hopelessness, worthlessness or helplessness that last for many days, or that stops you from participating in activities that you normally enjoy, your depression may be something more than sadness.
