Great service! Lots of traffic comes through this store because of how good it is. They do get busy so be patient on the phone placing order. Kenny or Mr. No2 as he calls himself always makes sure you're taken care of, super polite always nice and happy. They honorable give you the deals you qualify for, instead of you having to ask to get them like most Chinese stores. For this reason I recommend this store greatly. Awesome customer service!

I don't know where to start. Their food use to be really good but I do not know what has happened. One of the guys that answers the phone and takes the orders are extremely rude. They charge so much for a shrimp and broccoli in a little container. The food is just horrible here now and I been going to this place over 15 years. Not anymore.

I would give zero stars if I could. The customer service is appalling. I'm not sure if it was the owner but whomever it was could use a class in how to treat customers. I walked out and would never recommend this place. When trying to order he was loud, condescending, and irate.

I ordered through door dash and when my food arrived there was mold covered on my sauce. This place is disgusting and goes to show they do not throw away old food nor do they even check. I’m only giving this a one star because i couldn’t rate it any less. When i got there they didn’t even care to look at it until i mentioned contacting the FDA. I would not recommend this nasty place whatsoever.

Terrible customer service. Called to place an order and the man answering the phone was incredibly rude and when he couldn’t hear me yelled “what do you want?” We hung up right then and there.
How do you treat your customers this way, especially when you should be GRATEFUL for their business. Food is hit or miss and you can definitely find a better location in Westchester- like Bao’s in the Westchester mall.
The rest of the negative reviews only confirm what we’ve experienced a few different times.

Unfortunately I'm updating my previous review based on receiving items I didn't order. One of the items ordered was the 'Szechuan String Beans' from the Vegetarian section of the menu, and instead I received 'Chicken & Broccoli'. I can understand receiving a similar dish from the same section, but nothing with animal protein was ordered as I am a vegetarian. There's was a few other discrepancies with the entire order, but nothing worth mentioning. The quality of the food and preparation is still good

Decently priced for the portions served. I would recommend the sesame chicken or chicken with broccoli. White rice is great as it should be. Not too fond of the pork fried rice it's too dry for my taste and the mini pork chunks are not great at all. Egg rolls are pretty tasty as well.
The recipe for the fried dumplings on the other hand needs to locked away for good. The dumplings are so thick and chalky and the mystery meat in them is absolutely horrible. Seriously the worst things ever from here. I also do not recommend crab rangoon as they are extremely small and dry thus not much

This is your run of the mill neighborhood chinese take out restaurant. I've ordered from here a few times a month for years and the food is good for take out Chinese. The restaurant is clean, food is freshly made, they offer steamed brown rice as an option, the portions are a good size and the service is fast if you pick up or wait for the food. I can't say how long delivery takes because I've never had them deliver food to me. The staff is respectful, somewhat low key, I've read a lot of complaints about the owner / staff and to their defense these are very hard working people

Deceitful, disorganized mess of a restaurant. This place is hit-or-miss, but mostly miss. Especially tonight. I placed an order for my family on the phone, and the employee took it as usual. What the employee intentionally didn't tell me was that the restaurant had a gas leak in the kitchen, and was cooking the food at a separate location down the road.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a crowd of angry customers who were waiting for their food, which was already incredibly late. Only one employee was handling all these angry customers...while taking more orders on the phone! Not to mention that

Generally, if u want real deal asian food like straight of the street dirty street food that tastes amazing as if you were walking the streets of Thailand or China or Loas or Cambodia... this is the place for u but I warn you so, your stomach must be made of iron, the Iron Man type of iron, not the man in the iron mask type. The flavors will burst in your mouth as your stomach tries to digest and fend off an army of bacteria flavored spices!!

I had the worse experience at China star today . I placed an order for six chicken wings and pork fried rice . After getting home to sit down and eat after a long day at work . I took a bite out of my chicken and the smell of something rotten came out . The chicken was over cooked which I never mind . But the smell of something rotten entered my mouth ! I took a closer look to see that meat was a werid color! I called the China star to tell them that chicken was bad . And I was yelled at by the woman who answered the phone. I could barely make out what she was saying. Telling me that I'm wrong

The food is a bit better than you'd expect for a hole-in-the-wall takeout place. Have stuck to standards like General Tso's, and while the quality is a bit inconsistent, it's on balance good.
The problem, as identified by many of the other reviews, is the customer service. It's a bit inexplicable as to why the women who answer the phone and run the counter are borderline hostile to the customers. I believe there may be two different women who fulfill this role. One of them is gruff on the phone, mostly communicating in grunts. In person, she's slightly more manageable

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT! I have witnessed the workers (particularly a man who appears to be the manager or owner) not give service to people of color. It is a disgrace that something like that would happen in this day and age. Take a stand and do what is right. No one should buy from a restaurant that refuses to treat minority customers with respect!

I grew up a 5 minute drive from China star, so it quickly became our go-to local Chinese food place.
We always did take out, so I can't speak to delivery speed/quality, but I will say that the food has always been at or above expectations. This is a typical American-Chinese food place, but in terms of quality and taste, it performs pretty well.

The delivery on the website says "Fast" - It took around an hour. The delivery guy called and it was very difficult to explain to him where I am (I live in a complex). He wasn't very personable.
The food was meh. I ordered General Tsos, Vegetable Lo Mein and Crab Ragoons. The ragoons were old and dry and nasty. There was no sauce for it either - usually there is a sauce to dip. General Tsos was so so. Not bad, but nothing special either. Same for the lo mein.
