I'm not one to write review but today I felt my service was unfair. It was my first time at Pelican and I had let my server know I had a service dog. My dog is well behaved and it took them over an hour to complain and ask us to leave. The lady who approached me was extremely rude from the moment she approached us. First off, she asked me what service my dog was for and once I told her mobility support she continued to tell me that wasn't a service. Saying a service dog shouldn't let people say hi to it. Who in the hell is she to tell me how to raise my service dog. My papers are

I really enjoyed my experience here. Their food is amazing. I love clam chowder and they do it in a bread bowl. Which is fantastic. Friends who live on the east coast that came with me said it rivals the best out there. They have tons of tv's for watching games. It's right on the harbor so you can see the boats and adds to the ambience. Drinks are poured the way they are supposed too and not leave you wondering if there is alcohol in your drink. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We have been there for brunch before too and the breakfast were really good. I highly recommend this place

I was so excited to try this place after looking at their menu. The hostess was nice and sat us by the water but we ended up leaving after sitting down for 20 minutes. I don't know if they're short staffed but someone should've at least acknowledge us and told us someone will be with us shortly. We were ready order for 15 minutes and decided to leave for Golden Road where we were acknowledged within 3 minutes of sitting down. Maybe I'll try Pelican again.. maybe.

The food was ok, the nachos were good. The bloody Maria was tequila and tomato juice with some old dried out olives for $14.50 in a tiny mug. The clam chowder was potato soup with maybe one tiny spec of clam. You're next to the ocean, add some clams to the soup. Read the disclaimer on the front of your menu because they can change the prices inside the menu to whatever they want them to be. I always wanted to try this place since there is a dock ramp where I thought tying up my kayak and having lunch would be awesome. The bonus is they allow dogs on the outdoor, shade cloth covered patio. If driving in there's plenty of parking.

So glad we ended up here! We wanted to go to Golden Road Brewery but they don't open until noon so we went next door to Pelican Isle. We didn't know what to expect. The inside looks super FUN but it's a bit dark but they have outdoor seating, right on the water! It was GREAT! Erika was our server and she was FABULOUS! So sweet, nice, attentive and efficient! The fod was good! We had tacos and mimosa's. The mimosa's came in plastic cups which was kind of wierd but oh well.........................Everything else was great and Erika was terrific!

The crab cake Benedict was homemade and even the English muffin was high quality and delicate. The breakfast potatoes were flavorful as though they were simmered in a tomato broth. The only thing is that the hollandaise sauce didn't seen homemade and was a bit too lemony.
The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. The canned corned beef hash seemed to have an additional seasoning to it which was great.

Went to dinner with my family and decided to come here to pelican Isle. We have a service dog for one of our family members and the gentleman working looks to possibly be the owner or manager is one rude SOB. His justification for why we couldn't bring a service dog in was because he doesn't want to hear it from his customers. I explained that we had papers and all and still he said he does not care what the county says that dog cannot come in because he does not wanna hear it from his customers. So we called at 9:15pm and asked what time the kitchen closes the said 10pm. We get here and sit down and the girls comes up and tell us the kitchen is actually closed. Was is the OC for a comedy show and stop in this cozy little spot for drinks and dinner. The are is by the marina. We ate right on the boardwalk by the dock. Lovely sunny beautiful view. Ordered me some crab cakes. My daughter ordered tacos and dip. The dip was amazing. I noticed it was a very bar open and had two sides.everyone seemed happy. I ordered one drink and was wasted. They place really knows how to make drinks. I loved that. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. I even noticed some people outside with pets. So it's pet friendly. This place also has plenty of parking.

This is such an amazing place, so much atmosphere here, amazing large list of available food choices. I've tried a lot - and every time I am very happy! There is no better place on Friday night than sitting here by the water and enjoy the ambience, and the view, and the food, and the company! Oh, should I mention the service? I am sorry I don't remember the name of our waiter, but he is extremely friendly, positive, optimistic and very attentive every time we come. That makes our dinner twice better.
