Toyota, Lexus, or '57 Chevy? D Mac's does 'em all! After a misunderstanding with my former mechanic a few years back, I was considering selling my reliable Lexus. It simply needed some expensive maintenance that I didn't trust anybody to do without them messing up something else. Brian saved me when I had to be towed home in the middle of the night due to the previous guy's oil overfill, so I decided to let him do the timing belt, water pump, and brakes. Brian is dishonest. I went to him in desperate need to fix my car. He told me to go to autozone to buy some parts that cost me almost $500, after he finished working on my 2009 Corolla the car was still not functioning properly. On top of the $500, he charged me almost $100 for labor. Never again! Hope he goes bankrupt!

Brian harks back to the days when a mechanic would not need $125 up front for diagnosing what might be nothing more than a loose fan belt needing tightening. I just needed someone to pop the hood and listen to a peculiar noise. Brian was nice enough to do that. I finally got my 1963 falcon futura convertible back from when I moved to back to California from Oklahoma. It had been sitting in the garage in Oklahoma not running for the last 22 months. I needed someone to work on it and get it up and running. I found Brian and his auto shop in Escondido. I was really happy that I did. Brian is very honest and very upfront with what needs to be completed and repaired. He did great work and my falcon is up and running. I own a 1970 Mustang. I had the engine rebuilt three years ago as part of a complete restoration. But, it never ran right after that. It was rough, sluggish and surged into higher gear. I've had three different mechanics analyze and work on it multiple times (including one that I share my business property with, and even a Mustang specialist). A lot of things were tried and there was marginal improvement but it still idled rough, missed and ran lousy.
I kept saying how could this be so complicated

He is remarkable, so friendly, so kind and explains everything. Also he will show you what he's taking off and putting on. I especially love this about him, He has and will explain everything , And if he sees something that needs repairing asap. he'll even show you why it needs to be repaired, and how soon. Brian has went out of his way multiple times to help me with my vehicle. I have never met such a honest mechanic. He is truly a master mechanic I have brought a couple different makes in and he is always able to diagnose and fix the problem in a very professional and fast manner. I have even called him when I was out of town and had a belt brake and he took the time to walk me through the repair. He is a very honest and caring person, truly cares about his customer. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my vehicles.

After accidentally hitting a construction plastic cone on the freeway the night before and having the cone Go up under the car and break the radiator on my ladies car we needed somewhere early the next morning to send it to for repair. Bryan was there and already opened for business. He handed us a card for a guy that would tow us over to the shop. Within a half hour from start to finish our car was towed in put on the rack and we knew what we are facing. Bryan greeted us with a smile and charged what is a reasonable fee for repairs in this day and age. Unfortunately this

I have a 1956 Ford Thunderbird that had suspension issues, and a crack in the lower radiator bracket.
Car was brought in from out-of-state, and had to go to the CHP for inspection. So my time frame was very tight for the minimum repairs to get the car road worthy. Brian's was the only shop in North County San Diego able to take my car and turn it around in time.
He had the radiator core re-built and the bottom bracket was re-machined from scratch. He also performed some other repairs, noted more repairs that would be needed in the future, and completed the car in time for my inspection

I'm a 20yr girl so normally mechanics like to charge me extra and do things I don't really need done but the guy that helped me was really nice and took the time to explain what's going on. He even gave me tips on how to get the best deal on tires. Even my dad said I got a really good deal on the work I got done. I will definitely be coming back here for all my repairs.

Are you skeptical of online reviews like me? Don't be with DMac's Auto Repair. Brian is the real deal. He fixed a broken exhaust manifold bolt on my car that had been bugging me for years. Other shops I went to told me that they would have to remove the head, or engine to make the repair. Not only did he not have to do either of those things, he also had it fixed in one day! I am glad that I found DMac's Auto Repair. He has earned my future business! He is as good as the reviews say.
