I dealt with a sore and swollen gum problem for many years. No dentist or specialist was able to figure it out. I moved to Washington and starting going to Dr. Sherrard and he resolved my issue within my first month and a half of moving here. He took the time to study it, think about it, and truly figure it out.

Originally from Longview, WA, Amy re-located to the Kitsap Peninsula in 2013. Amy has 28 years in the dental field. Being an outdoor enthusiast, her interests are kayaking, snowshoeing, camping and travel. Her interest in dentistry is in helping people and getting them out of the cycle of pain. Manual scaling often uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with sensitive teeth. After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and then polished.
Multiple tooth implants, where one or more implants are used to replace a section of missing teeth (in place of a bridge or partial denture). Implant supported dentures, used when you are missing an entire arch or teeth. The number of implants needed to support this type of restoration depends greatly on your needs.
Traditional crowns used to replace GERD damaged tooth structure protecting him from future tooth loss. This patient had old failing silver-amalgam fillings combined with acid reflux damage and dental decay. These teeth were restored one at a time due to finances over a year's time with All Ceramic Crowns.

I have been a patient of Life Long Dental for many years and have seen the previous two DDS practitioners as the business has changed hands. While I have no complaints about the skill and knowledge of the current DDS and Staff, I found that they were more interested in aesthetics than long term care. We were directed to non-related services such as veneers and jaw symmetry corrections versus corrective procedures for maintenance. I found this unnecessary and and not needed for my dental care. I found them to be more concerned about aesthetics than care.

I haven't had a tooth filled in a long time. I needed one filling replaced and a cavity taken care of in the adjacent tooth. I can't believe how quickly the procedure went! While the word "pleasant" when describing a dental experience wouldn't normally be my first thought, I can honestly say this was a pleasant experience. Definitely recommend Dr. Gillespie and his staff at Life Long Dental.

I have never had a bad experience. The dentist and dental assistants are professional and personable. I came here after having a bad experience at another dentist and I feel very comfortable with the knowledge and expertise of the dentist and his staff.
