Before engaging in telehealth, it's important to understand how this service works. Individual and group therapy sessions at New Leaf Center are the basis for successful healing, growth, and recovery; and consistent attendance is a vital part of your ongoing care.
New Leaf Center encourages clients and their family members to participate in 12-step programs. Research has shown that individuals and couples who enter 12-step programs are often much more successful at maintaining long-term recovery from addictive behaviors.
New Leaf Center maintains a referral network of reputable and proven treatment centers throughout the United States to aid in treatment for addictions, severe depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.These facilities, if needed, are recommended after an in-depth psychosocial evaluation is done by one of our highly trained and qualified staff members.

Addiction to alcohol, drugs, and other substances or activities is a long-term chronic disease, not a result of weakness or a lack of willpower. Addiction has a course that can be predicted; has known symptoms; and is influenced by genes, life situations, and brain activity. Abusive use of a substance changes the brain, and it often takes months of complete abstinence for the brain to be restored back to normal.
New Leaf Center has been treating sex addiction since 1990. Most members of our therapy staff are Certified Sex Addiction Therapists with years of experience working with the sex addict and his or her spouse/partner. We provide extensive resources for referrals when inpatient, psychological testing, or psychiatric interventions are indicated.
New Leaf Center offers equine-assisted therapy for our individual clients, couples and small groups. In this experiential therapy, horses are added to the client's treatment. Clients participate in ground work with the horses through interactive exercises that can reveal what they are working on. Therapist and New Leaf Center co-owner Patti Hall, MS, LMHC, CSAT, CAC, has had training in equine assisted therapy.
