DO NOT LIVE HERE! Moving in, you are required to pay a security deposit PLUS a "non-refundable fee" which we were told was for final cleaning expenses. To our surprise, upon moving out we were charged so many cleaning fees that our security deposit was used PLUS we owe $200.... Turns out the lease agreement doesn't specify what the non-refundable fee is for.
It gets better- we had no legal grounds to fight the payment so we paid the balance in full on May 11th. SURPRISE! Today we get a letter that our "unpaid balance" has been sent to collections as of 6/1 (THREE WEEKS LATER).

This complex is managed poorly. My military daughter and son-in-law rented an apartment for their family when he was stationed here. Manager told them the $200 deposit was for cleaning when they moved out. When his orders took him away, 10 months later, the manager charged them an additional 360 for cleaning an apartment that was spotless. I know because I helped them clean it. I guess they think they can swindle military people when they need to leave quickly.

I actually really liked living here. I was never personally contacted about the extra deposit until I received an alarming letter that mentioned collections. Clearly this is a common issue. Management really needs to be more up front about it. Frankly, the military population is used to things like this, but we can't have our security clearances hemmed up because you can't be bothered to call and explain that there's an extra charge on the account. I'd still recommend this complex to a friend, but with a disclaimer.

These apartment are infested with fruit flies, there in your refrigerator, your kitchen, bathroom and in your bedroom. And the manager will do nothing about it. Don't move here unless you like to lay with bugs. She told me her pest control person said there no product to treat these pest but there over 100 professional products that can be used in the inside and outside. Biggest mistake moving here

Bellamy Park apartments are beautifully located and has decently maintained grounds, that's about it. The website claims that each unit has been beautifully renovated. It has been our findings, after living in 3 separate units since June, 2014, that statement is a bold lie. Some do have newer appliances and linoleum, however this does not make up for the overwhelming pet and cigarette odors or carpet issues we encountered in each apartment. The leasing agent here has a history of ignoring major issues in the units, according to both maintenance workers that I have met in our nearly 20 months here

I think for what it cost to live here they could do better. The first month was terrible water leaking, some appliances are out-dated, minor renovations such as a cover-up paint job, clogs, lack of up keep in vacant apartments before tenants move in, etc. It's been a journey to creating a home here. Not all apartments look the same I guess? Too bad you have to play roulette.
