Services
Phuong is in charge of our hygiene and recare department for the past 8 years, providing gentle and thorough care to all patients. She lives in San Jose with her husband and loves cooking, playing tennis, and traveling all over the world in her spare time. Susana has been a valuable Dental Assistant with Dr. Trinh for 13 years and was promoted to Patient Coordinator since 2014.
Very little preparation is necessary for dental bonding and anesthesia is generally not required beforehand. We will use a shade guide to select a composite resin color that most closely matches the color of your existing teeth. The surface of your tooth will be etched and a special cleaning/conditioning solution will be applied to allow the bonding resin to adhere to your tooth.
When you come into our San Jose, CA office and talk to our staff, we may feel that your best option to replace a single lost tooth is a bonded bridge. A bonded bridge consists of two parts. The first is a false tooth, called a pontic and the second are 'wings' that support the pontic. The entire structure spans the space vacated by the missing tooth giving you a natural looking replacement without damaging surrounding teeth.
New patients receive a comprehensive examination which includes a screening for oral cancer, gum and bone disease, blood pressure, and systemic disorders. A routine oral exam is performed on established patients to determine any changes in dental and health status since the previous visit.

Your gum tissue is measured with a fine instrument ruler to calibrate in millimeters pocket depth between the tooth and the connective gum tissue around the tooth.Pocket depths more than 4 millimeters could indicate disease and infection. The deeper the pocket, the greater the extent plaque bacteria collects and infection in gum disease develop.
Implants are a tooth replacement option that involves placing a new "root" into the bone of your jaw. Once this titanium "root" has fused with your bone it can be used to support a crown, bridge or denture. These implants can also be used to replace partials and other forms of dentures. The success rate for dental implants are extremely high and is due in part to the fact that root-form implants are made of a biocompatible material, titanium.

I have been going here for a few years and I really like it. I’m afraid to go to the dentist so finding one who is kind and where I feel safe is a bit a hassle.
When I started going here I had significant gum issues but after a deep cleaning I haven’t had any issues.
I’ve never had to wait for an appointment, they’re very good about reminders, which certainly helps me.
I can’t recommend this dentist high enough. Thank you guys!

Dr. Steve Trinh is a terrible dentist. Had my front tooth capped and now I have a black ring above the tooth. Makes me look as if I have food stuck in my tooth. Went in and he refused to fix it. Does not stand behind his work. Patrons BEWARE!

10/10 best doctor. He may not have the snazziest office but his care and skill is incredible. He is truly passionate about dental health and his patients. After so many bad experiences at dentists all across the city, I am so happy to have found Dr. Trinh 2 years ago. I plan to go to him as long as I still live in the area and he's still working. #LifetimeDentist

The reviews are truly amazing. I imagine they must be for the support staff. The girls in the office, as I recall (it's been several years) were the best, and only, really great thing about the office.
Years later, after learning that the molar Dr. Trinh told me I would "always have problems with" had been, by none other than Dr. Trinh, improperly handled, I know that the only good thing about the office is Dr. Trinh's support staff. It's not that he knew I would "always have problems" because he was clairvoyant. He knew that he had drilled all the way through

Dr. Trinh is horrible. Broke my tooth during a filling and it still hurts three years later. He then told me I needed a root canal procedure for 1000+. I don't like the idea of him gaining money from his incompetence so i'm gonna be doing the procedure at a more professional dentistry clinic

I don’t know about the reviews here on bad customer service. Dr Trinh and his staff are excellent at communicating and making you feel welcomed.
Update: second visit last week. This time I dealt with Dr. Trinh and Doctor Vu. Doctor Vu was very knowledgeable and explained in great detail what my current oral situation was with X-rays and time tables. This lady is so nice, I felt like she was family. We even exchanged hugs at the end. This place is definitely going to be my permanent dentist.

Dr. Trinh and his staff are so nice and very fast to get you in and out. They performed x-rays very quickly and then immediately started the cleaning with no waiting. They have online booking, text reminders, and TVs over the chairs to distract/entertain you while your teeth are being cleaned.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Trinh and it was good! He was direct and explained everything in a way that I can comprehend. He took x-rays and was able to show me what was going on with my teeth and helped me to understand why I needed to make certain decisions (getting my two bottom wisdom teeth taken out because they're pushing on my other teeth and food is getting stuck). Then I got my teeth cleaned and did something else for my wisdom teeth.

I totally forgot her name (I'm sorry!) but the receptionist was nice as well. She gave me a sheet which showed me which teeth I needed

I have been a patient for almost 10 years. Now my daughter goes there and she always looks forward to seeing everyone in the office.
My idea of a children's dentist has always been different than what I see at Dr. Trinh's. What I appreciate is that my daughter and I get to see her x-rays which keeps it very interesting for her. While she did ask why she doesn't get a toy from Dr. Trinh (even though her peers do when they visit their dentists) she is always excited about her new toothbrush set.

New to the downtown area; needed a new dentist decided to stay local. The place is fairly small but everyone at the location is very nice and professional. I was there for tooth cleaning and then had a second appointment for a cavity; both times I was called and reminded on my appointments and greeted as soon as I came in the door.

I met my doctor Dr. Trinh; he is very professional and explains things while he is working; definitely keeping this doctor.

Did some appallingly bad work when filling my wife's teeth, to the point where his work needed to be completely removed and redone by a dentist who was able to perform simple fillings successfully.

Dr. Trinh's incompetence caused my wife significant pain and distress and I cannot recommend avoiding him strongly enough.

Dr. Trinh is a well educated, patient, conservative dentist. I travel 2.5 hours each way plus pay a toll fee in order to have his care ensuring my teeth and gums are in healthy hands.
You get 1 set of adult teeth. Your teeth & gums are the doorway to your overall health!
It's wise to invest in the highest quality care your willing too.
Dr. Trinh & his staff are absolutely the best!

I was trying to get my teeth cleaned but the first thing they did was X-ray my teeth. I asked if it was covered and they said yes. A month later I get a bill for 258 dollars from them. They actually had the audacity to charge me 55 dollars for the disgusting fluoride they said was part of the teeth cleaning.

They may be all smiles, while they are knifing you in the back. I hope everyone avoids this place.

Very professional and competent staff. Dr. Trinh is kind, patient, and backs it up with 20 years of experience. The dental hygienist Phuong does the cleaning, and she too is very kind and explains the procedure before putting anything into your mouth.

Their front desk staff is stellar. Susana neatly laid all my financial options before me and patiently explained the pros and cons of various choices. She is knowledgeable of the dental terms and procedures, and even showed me first hand how to floss properly.

This office accepts Medi-Cal as an insurance option. Don't let the San Jose location

Just got my dental approved and was refereed here. Everyone is so friendly here. Its a clean office and very organized. As soon as I walked in for my 3 o'clock appointment I was shown to my seat and they got on checking my teeth out right away. They play great music and also have a television right above you to watch while u get your teeth done! How sweet is that!

I was nervous but Dr.Trinh explained all my options and procedures perfectly. The appointment went great and afterwards I was given an appointment for the very next week. I recommend this place to any and every one. NO DOUBT 5

Went here for my first time, the staff and dentist are super friendly! One of the receptionists helped me find office and I was promptly seen. They were even able to squeeze me in for a cavity fix they found in the cleaning they did for me right after. The only thing I didn't like about this place was how the process was kinda messy; I even got a fleck of toothpaste in my eyelash. That said, it is a dentist so a bit of mess is to be expected. Definitely going back again

Update: My tooth hurt two weeks later and they were super helpful in squeezing me in to help and very friendly when I got
