Why respond to my review and say that you are disheartened with what I went through and show me that you care instead. I'm owed money for all the damage to my things, my daughter still has scars from all the flea bites, and I'm owed money for all the days that I was left with out running water. I should be reimbursed for my hotel stays!!!! You guys caused me to go into depression.

Aesthetically, it's pleasing. The outside is well maintained, not much litter on the outside. The children playground is a plus for the little ones. Parking isn't crazy on most days. It's chill and quiet on most days except when the kids are out paying.
Pricing can be a hit or miss.
I strongly dislike the amount of pests in this apartment. Personally, my unit has experienced ants and fleas ( we don't have any animals), and it's been ridiculous to call and try to get management to do something about it. Management should replace all carpeted units for wood or linoleum

Extremely unprofessional. The manager never responded to any of my emails or phone calls, i had to go in to the office for any form of communication. Also they false advertise as well as have a high rate for an extremely low maintained facility. Bottom line is there is a huge lack of maintenance and management.

I lived here for about 10 days and they were the worst 10 days of my life, one word ROACHES. The thing that attracted us to summerwood was their pet policy and the fact that they had 2 bed 2 bath apartments. Leah seemed nice and easy going at first until we realized she showed us a different apartment for a reason. We never got to see our apartment until the day we moved in and we know now that it's because of the roach infestation in this building. The first time we saw one we were terrified! Me or my boyfriend never ever lived with roaches before

I have lived at these apartments since 2015. I have seen managers come and go over this period of time. I've approved of most. I have to commend the current front office manager and staff. They listen to concerns, complaints, and suggestions. We have noticed a pleasant trend of community growth and fellowship.
As for the property, you get moe than you pay for. I've looked around and priced shopped. Though it's not the cheapest, it's the least expensive, well kept gated community in the Hayward area. Rent has gone up in the period of time I've been here but not unreasonably

Honestly when I came here I was hesitant due to reviews. But honestly I completely disagree with another review I saw on 3rd party website. Veronica is a sweetheart. She stated everything that is to be paid unlike other experiences I've had with other apartment homes (city view). I've been here for two months now and am very satisfied. Anything I needed fixed was fixed very fast. Thanks Veronica :)

I wanna start off by saying that veronica is a sweetheart and on top of her stuff. As for ERICA i dont have nothing positive to say about her. She doesnt do her job. She doesnt answer the phone. When we go into the office she is always eating. Nothing gets done with her. Nor does she relate any messages to Veronica. Like why does she work here? Erica is also a liar n lazy. If she did her job this review would have been way different.

I would never recommend this apartment complex. It's over-priced, the units are small (the two bedrooms are less that 900 sq. ft.), and you're also required to pay water, garbage, and maintenance fees which will add an extra $180-$200 to your monthly rent bill that's due at the beginning of every month. The property is poorly managed and based off my experience and shopping prices, you can find another 2 bedroom that is about $300 cheaper monthly than what they are asking for. Yes, the location is okay but being that you are close to the freeway and motels, you get a lot of drug

I just wanna say that VERONICA IVAN AND MARIO ARE AMAZING!! I called about my fridge and they came not even 15 min later to come see and and bring a new one. Summerwood Apartments in Hayward is by far the best apartments ive ever lived at. I can call at anytime and they are there to fix it. Yall make it so easy to live:) Thanks again yall for everything so far.

Maintenance team member - Ryan - great customer service!
Just wanted to give a shout to this Tech for his responsiveness, care and consideration to every maintenance issue that we have come across in the 1 year that we lived here. He always manages to effectively communicate to his team and close out our service requests in a timely manner.
Needless to say, we have had a lot of plumbing concerns in our unit, but we know we can always count on him to help us when needed. Thanks again Ryan. :)

Called in maintenance for a repair on my temperature control in my shower. A day later, Ryan came and seen a few other things out of place such as the screen door to the balcony, went ahead, and fixed it for me in a timely manner! I really appreciate how responsive, quick, and professional Summerwood apartments is when it comes to fixtures/repairs, you don't find that often in other apartment complexes. 5/5!!!

Everyone here is super friendly and professional, you can tell there's a lot of communication between all the employees. We let the Veronica know our stove wasn't working and that same day we had someone come in and check the stove. The maintenance guy Ryan said he needed a part to fix it said he would have it next day and asked us when he could come back we to fix it. By the time my boyfriend and I were home from work the next day, our stove was good as new. Thank you so much!

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. The management is horrible. To start off the apartments have roaches, the swimming pool was shutdown over the summer due to bacteria because they failed to have anyone come out to clean it, the maintenance workers go into the apartments and cause damages and break items, and they can't even provide heating to their tenants. I could go and on but this place is horrible. Save your time and look some where else.

I have been in few and few complex apts and never had the chance to leave a full 5 Star review instead of a 1 or 4..So first of all THANK YOU! to Veronica and Beth that were honest and considering about what exactly was happening here in the past if there was an options you would get 6 golden stars.

We've just extended our lease after 6 months (we got the short term because we were kind of skeptical still).
After signing here we've looked at the Yelp reviews and ran back to the office to cancel the deal. Lucky

So It took me 4 months of hard search to find an apartment to rent, I didn't want to spend a lot and also didn't want to live at a dangerous place.
I was reffered to this place, called and sat an apointement, we met Beth who Is absolutley amazing she made the tour really fun and profesional, showed us all the complex, the available apartement and shared some Information about the area(great location walking distance from everything!) to make a long story short
So It took me 4 months of hard search to find an apartment to rent, I didn't want to spend a lot and also didn't want to live at a dangerous place.

Summerwood Apartments is a convenient location to shops and restaurants.
This location connects with all major highways within 5 min. Summerwood has upgraded there community. I know because two years ago a friend of mine lived here. The community is looking great. The leasing process was quick $200 holding fee and $44 application/credit check. Come ready and the staff was very nice and professional.
While sitting and waiting for our approval, other residents came in and I overheard there conversation and the manager was very respectful and very understanding to one girls family issues.

Okay so me and my friend were looking for a place to live. We came across Summerwood. It looked decent enough so we went in and took a tour. It was $1345.00 for a 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom. Apartment 201 if I can remember correctly. I really liked the lady who worked there, she was about 8 months pregnant but very sweet and very accommodating - I think her name was Daniela. I remember out of all the apartments, the one we had was the only one without an updated Kitchen, so she talked to her manager and they agreed upon an $80 concession. Everything seemed to be looking
