TL;DR has been working with therapists in private practice for years now, and while there was a little trouble at one point (business growing pains), the business is streamlined and responsive and exceptionally competent. The team understands the unique needs of our population, and not only does excellent accounting work, but also really digs in to encourage us to move towards better business practices, knowing that most of us never got much training on this end. Toni's tax return walk through is something I look forward to each year as it helps me better understand my current year return. In the past, I traveled a lot for my job. I hate leaving negative reviews, especially during COVID, but I want to warn others. I had a great experience for the first few years with TL;DR when they were just doing my small business taxes. But I was assigned an accountant who is just not very careful or helpful, since last year. She filed my state small business taxes and didn't inform me. I only found out about the taxes owed when I received a penalty notice from the WA Department of Revenue for non-payment. Neither the owner, Toni nor her accountant managing my account apologized or even acknowledged their mistake.

I used TLDR for book keeping for my business as well as my taxes. I never received any reports for my business and had to fight to have my expenses properly categorized. I even had to go so far as to look up and send her the IRS tax guides to prove to the bookkeeper that I was requesting the proper categorization for certain expenses so she would change them after she basically accused me of asking her to commit tax fraud. Well she said she made the changes but didn't, costing me thousands in expenses on my 2018 taxes. Thankfully I decided to do my own taxes in 2019 and was able to catch

2017 was my first year running my own business and I dreaded tax time. I approached Toni with my situation and explained that I needed help filing my taxes, particularly since I felt I made a mess with some half-paid estimated taxes.
