When you're choosing a therapist, fit is everything. You can read about my training below, but you might also like to know that I'm a 40-something-year-old wife and mom. During years of infertility and pregnancy loss, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and my dad died-and the intensity of it all finally led me to therapy.
I've had a lot of practice with uncertainty and loss. I'm on this path with you, and that helps me show up in a meaningful way. I love to study Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology and share what I learn with clients. These areas of research explore how distressing life events (no matter how small) shape our brains, and lives, in ways we can't always see.

Services
Your brain and mind are as unique as your fingerprint, so there is no one-size fits all approach to helping you meet your goals. I offer individual and relationship counseling in addition to EMDR and Emotional Transformation Therapy. We can work together to determine the best way forward. The things we don't know about ourselves can continue to cause us pain.
Grief is an inevitable part of life, not an illness to cure. Beyond the death of a loved one, any significant life change-the loss of a dream, an expected future, or a relationship-can cause grief. Your feelings are valid, and you don't have to get over them. With support, you can be helped through them.
The loss of your reproductive story may be invisible to others, and I know how heartbreaking that can be. As someone who has experienced infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss, I'm passionate about helping women, men and partners navigate this unexpected phase of life. Being unable to have a baby can be a painful crisis, changing your life in unspoken ways.
My current rate is $130 for a 50-minute session. I believe that therapy is a worthwhile investment for your long-term health and well-being and I recommend weekly sessions, especially in the beginning. If cost is a barrier, please let me know. I dedicate a few hours each week for reduced-cost sessions.

As Sara's longtime colleague, I can say with confidence that she is the type of therapist you want in your corner. Sara is attuned, caring, empathic, present, and committed to helping you feel less alone — and deeply supported — when you need it the most. While Sara is highly skilled in issues related to infertility and grief, her therapeutic presence is a gift to any client.

Sara is an amazing therapist trained in many modalities who offers empathy, knowledge and compassion to help individuals navigate through the hardships life throws at us. As a fellow colleague, I highly recommend Sara to anyone looking for a therapist that will truly be with them in a nonjudgmental way so they can explore all parts of themselves - the light and the dark.
