Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. I help individual's, couples, parents, and people in cross cultural settings work through their challenges so they can experience personal renewal and healing in their relationships (with God, family, friends, children, and other people).
I understand the unique stressors and hardships that people deal with in their relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and cross cultural settings! Your well-being is my ultimate concern. Whether you're an individual, a couple or a family looking for help - my online therapy and coaching sessions are designed to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and understanding environment for you to deal with whatever is on your mind and heart.

Therapy is in my blood; its the way I can help and love people. Since I was young, I witnessed human suffering all around me. These experiences have shaped my life, challenging me to explore the human experience and how to help people live healthy, fulfilled, and godly lives.
I have a diversity of interests in counseling, psychology, philosophy, wilderness therapy, theology, and experiential living that contribute to my unique approach to coaching. One cool fact about me is that prior to becoming a relationships oriented Therapist, I was a wilderness adventures facilitator.

I possess a unique blend of experience and training in relationships, communication, and addictions. I have over 13 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families to achieve happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. In Therapy sessions, we will work together to address concerns you may have around struggles like anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction.
You are looking for therapy because you want results. You want something in your life to be different than the way it is now. AW Tozer wrote that "what you believe about the world, will determine the way you live your life." That includes what you believe about yourself, about your life experiences, about your place in the world, and about what is meaningful and purposeful in your life.
For those who would like to increase intimacy, connection, and shared purpose in your marriage. Whether you have a good marriage and are seeking to make it better or experience relational pain in your marriage and want to restore it, couples coaching is for you. I take a practical approach to help you and your spouse increase emotional connection, honest and respectful communication, common purpose, values, and intimacy.
You can have it all: Get your parenting power back and have the relationship you always wanted with your child/children. Years of working with parents and children has taught me that I can be most helpful to you when I work directly with you the parent rather than with the children.
I learned that you are the most powerful influence in your child's life and if I can help you address your child's needs rather than do it myself, the positive outcome is more lasting, and the relationship you will have with your child will be more intimate.Sometimes we see our children going through a difficult time and we don't know how to help them.

John has been instrumental in helping our family with a situation. I really like his biblical references which is why we looked for a Christian counselor. John also poses questions that allow you to see another side of the situation in a non attacking way, and I appreciate that. He is a great counselor to work with!

John is a very thorough and helpful Christian based therapist. He is a great listener and asks the questions that help guide you into understanding yourself and figuring out where to start with change. Blessed to have had him as my counselor. Only reason I won't be going forward with him is because I am moving out of state and my insurance will no longer cover. Anyways, big thanks to John. God bless

I worked with John Mark Kane as marriage family therapist working with children and families. Many of the work is with the kids and helping them better manage their symptoms of ADHD and anger management by increasing their self esteem, communication skills, coping skills and mindfulness tools. He also helped teach parents coaching skills to help families better model tools for their kids and learn better ways to parent with kids challenging behaviors. As a relationship counselor he looks at better ways for couples and parents to communicate and self regulate to build the relationship up. John Mark
