They mixed two orders together. The Vegetable Korma had cheese in it. Muttar Paneer had no tomato sauce (Vegetable Korma sauce). There were the same cheese cubes in both containers.
The food tasted good. I'm just surprised that they did that for the money they charge for each order (nineteen dollars).

I was looking for an Indian restaurant and discovered Monsoon. I was starving when I arrived. Sad to say they were open only for take out (but I sat at an outside table).
The food was fresh and delicious. The condiments tasted very fresh (very, as if they made it, not out of a jar).
The gentleman who helped me was friendly, well spoken and helpful.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys (northern) Indian food!

The food is good. However, every time I order the Kadai Chicken (and explicitly state ‘the chicken with the onions and peppers), I receive Chicken Curry. Each time, I have to wait for them to correct my order. And each time, the staff is telling me how to order it “correctly” the next time. Today, I placed an order exactly the way I was told and it was still wrong.

I agree that dishes were more on the sweet side. can't really taste the spices. may have been too much honey or other type of sweetener. the biggest disappointment is the portion. $19 per dish in a 16oz container! i ordered so much food to feed, what i thought would be for 7ppl, actually was only enough for 4. spent over $200, traveled 20mns, and was annoyed even before we started eating. the dish of kabobs sampler was so small that you only get 2 small pieces of each kind (3 diff variety). the bread sample variety was a good choice. this was the only one that was made in big sizes. their

How is this place still in business? Paid $60 for disgusting food. Lamb tasted old, full of fat, boiled and just thrown into a spinach curry base. This place use to be good back in the day, but now it's obvious the owners/chef have no pride in their food. Very disappointed since they are from the UK which is know for amazing Indian food.

This is my usual Indian take out spot. Been a few times earlier in the year and I'm always pleased with the tikka masala and love their kheer (rice pudding with Indian spices). Recently got the same and was really looking forward to their kheer. Unfortunately, it had no spices in it at all. It tasted like regular rice pudding, which was a major disappointment. I'm sure I'll be back at some point, but not putting spices in your kheer is a major blow for me.

(This review is for take out orders) The most consistent thing I've learned about monsoons is their inconsistency. I stick to what I like and order the same 2 meals, Butter chicken and Aloo Golbi. Over the span of this past year we have only gotten take out due to Covid. What I can tell you is that each time I order these two meals, I get something different in terms of taste, sauce and ingredients. The driver was , however, monsoon completely messed up our order and for 200 dollars and our one family take out dinner, we were extremely disappointed. We ended up throwing it all away. They didn't give our two garlic naan, the lamb curry was old dry and chewy and the top 1inch or so was greasey, the chicken tikika tasted like vindaloo all three of my kids immediately spit it out. Hadn't had in awhile. Sorry, didn't know we could take out as we usually do the buffet to sample all of your fabulous goodies, but we were REALLY craving great Indian food! Got takeout of several dishes, paneer & spinach, naan, goat, tikka masala & mango chicken. Again, rich, delicious and perfectly balanced flavors all around! Even the rice had cloves & other things my brain & tastebuds didnt recognize but fabulous...& it was rice! Lol Unbelievable as usual! Revived the covid restricted beaten soul!! This place didn't show up in our Yelp searched until last weekend but I'm so glad it finally did! We enjoyed the food so much we ordered again this weekend. Everything we've had has been delicious and I appreciate that pick up is done curbside with no one going in to the actual restaurant. We've had chicken madras, tikka masala and butter chicken - all awesome.

He's done it for us several times "without" asking. One quick example: my husband is obsessed with papadum (I don't get and I don't ask). The owner actually walked to my husband's car and handed him an order of papadum. I don't know how the conversation went between them both that inspired the owner to just hand out papadums

More conceened with their bottom line of getting every dollar that they can for their fancy sign and nenues and ostensibly their personal riches than they are putting together a nourishing meal. I was given an unbalanced shrimp curry and rice, 2 small containers for $20. I asked for a vegetable cup. I was handed a cup of onions and green garnish after 3 minutes of scrambling. My biggest recommendation for this restaurant for whoever is looking to go eat or get take out "DO NOT GO WHEN THEY ARE BUSY" they seem to forget how to cook food. We ordered a malai kofta spicy and instead we got a consistency of just flour mixed in water and literally water liquid packed into a container.
We are fixing up the food on our own.
This isn't the first time we have experienced this we have experienced this while dining in and now during take out.
We did stop going to the restaurant but however my sister who came back from college didn't know and ended up ordering

OMG! This was my vet 1st experience trying, eating, experiencing Indian Cuisine. I ordered the chicken tikka Marsala and garlic naan bread. I have never experienced anything like it! Yay! It is amazingly yumful! It is bursting with flavor. I can't even begin to tell you the spices that are in here. It is so so so so Delish to me! Another yay! It was $16 for the dish and $4 for the bread.
I learned that chicken tikka Marsala originated from England. Well the Filks from India deserve the credits for this dish because it is just that great!

The food is excellent. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I stood at the door waiting to be acknowledged for 10 minutes. It took nearly as long for someone to come take my order. I watched my order go to the wrong table, back to the kitchen, then to me. When I was finished, I asked for the check. The response was a question, "Would you like this wrapped?" I did, so she wrapped it. But never brought the check. Another 10 minutes pass as I wait to draw anyone's attention.
Again, the food was delicious. I had the Monsoon Mixed Platter. Service? Not a good night for them.
