Alterra Apartments

I was apartment hunting and came across this complex, decided to give it a shot. The gentleman that assisted us by the name of Gustavo was very professional and charming. I can honestly say he sold me the place. He made my tour really comfortable and was supper dedicated and a patient individual.
I looked no further and he made the process very smooth and stress free for my girlfriend and i. I am really looking forward to living here and excited for the extra amenities. If your looking for a higher end apartment definitely worth taking look for yourself.

I lived here about 5 years ago, I was very anxious about bringing my boyfriend here to look at the place but luckily Gustavo helped me show him why I loved the place so many years ago. I’m so glad to be coming back everything is nicely updated and very well put together I felt at home all over again I can’t wait to be moved back in soon.

Me and my family really enjoyed the tour that was provided by Gustavo. His hospitality and honesty created a comfortable environment throughout the process. He was very specific with what we needed to know about the unit and made sure that every question was answered. I really enjoyed getting to know my new environment and meeting some neighbors. The pool and jacuzzi was inviting and the TWO 24hour gym was the icing on cake! The fact that me and my family don’t have to worry about parking was very comforting and really gave meaning to the word “Home”. The resources around us such as Target

This is a very comfortable and beautiful place to live. Manage team are very helpful and responsive. Very good location, after all very friendly community. Particularly, Gustavo helped me pushing forward the moving date, so we can move in at the time I wanted. The warming and welcoming services provided by Gustavo manage team are deeply appreciated.

Clean, well kept grounds and amenities. Looks like it would be a nice place to live! One of my adult children will be living there. I feel they will be safe and happy there as a family.

Living here is very comfortable and beautiful. We have a family and we always feel safe and our neighbors are friendly. The front office, in particular Gustavo and maintenance team, in particular Al, are always ready to help. We love the urban feel of it here, with the trolley across the way.They have gathering areas with grills for cook outs but if you can't cook they have food trucks throughout the month. I love the free yoga by the pool every week! It's a great community, I highly recommend it.

This is a great place to live. I love the convenient location - I can walk to grocery stores, Grossmont Center mall, my dentist's office, and my hair salon, and I can take the Trolley to lots of other places. Just moved in and so far we have had a great experience. We were worried about excessive noise from the trolley being so close and the frequency it goes by (every 5 to 15 minutes I estimate), but we hardly hear it at all! Our balcony does face the courtyard so I can't speak for those whose balcony is facing the tracks, but with the doors closed, I can say it's just another white noise. The management staff is also very nice and accommodating, especially during this time. I have issues with two of the managers at this place. Both have been rude when you try to report an issue. I live on the west side where the trolley station is and it’s loud all hours of the night, homeless and drug addicted have around. At times I don’t feel save to walk my dog. The building is cheap and the floors and walls are paper thin. I can get my upstairs neighbors as they walk around their unit. I mean this place it looks good during the walk-through during the first phase and everything I mean it’s got great make up but it’s very cheap and cheap we put together and again the management

Update after being here seven months. Great overall experience. Maintenance requests are handled within 24 hours and they are over the top friendly. Al Montes was very professional and efficient. After being in the area for a while, I don't think I would want to be in any apartment complex.
Ignore the negative reviews please! We moved into The District apartments about a month ago and we have had such a pleasant first month. Everyone in the leasing office was so understanding and accommodating. We came here after another apartment complex did not let us move in on the date that they had promised
