We are located in the highly desirable Northwest area of Bakersfield and within the distinguished Fruitvale School District. Target, Walmart, Trader Joe's and a whole slew of great businesses are all within a five minute drive. We think you'll be comfortable here.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide future availability as we do not know when a current resident may give notice. We do not keep a waitlist and ask that you check the website frequently.
For non-urgent maintenance requests, please submit a maintenance request via the Resident Portal (www.villamondavi.com). For after hours emergency requests, please observe the following guidelines. This is only an emergency in extreme cold weather in winter time and when the heater is not working due to mechanical malfunction.

I used to have a five star review but I had to delete it after moving out. I lived here for nearly three and a half years and it was a great place to live. Unfortunately there was a management change prior to me moving out that has changed this place. It's very apparent now that they are trying to get as much money out of each resident as possible.

These people are SCAMMERS!! My fiancé and I have excellent credit and are Doctors of Physical Therapy with not one bad mark in our backgrounds. I called them on Tuesday afternoon and they told me the apartment was available for rent, no other applicants yet. I put in the application online and paid the fee. The following morning I called and they said my landlord had to fill out an evaluation form, I emailed my landlord who was traveling back from Spain to fill it out and send back ASAP. Villa Mondavi is a great place to move into, my roommate and I both have busy schedules due to our workout routine and different work hours. The management understood this and let us pay at different times and worked with us in order to make a smooth transition into our apartment. The management staff was super nice and respectful, she explained the whole process to me and made sure that all of my questions were answered quickly and precisely. The maintenance worker also came with us on the move in to check over the apartment, and we found one of two things wrong with the apartment and he imedeatly

I've since moved away from Villa Mondavi. The move-out process is fairly straightforward: fill out a 30-day advance notice using a form from the resident hub (on the apartment website) and drop it off at the manager office. After a few days, they'll send a few more forms for the deposit and the move-out inspection, which you can opt out. I received over 70% of my original deposit back after a few weeks, which is fair since they needed to deduct some of that fund to settle the final water/sewer bill and to clean up the unit for the next tenant. I have lived here for over 3 years and it is truly an amazing place to live. Leia the manager is extremely helpful and personable. She puts on fun free events for the residents like taco night, paint night, donuts in the morning, and other holiday activities like door/balcony decorating for Christmas or Halloween parties. I have had very few maintenance issues and when I did they were fixed in a few hours. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's a quiet community filled with mostly young professionals. It is very reasonably priced and the grounds and apartments are both well

One of the very best things about Villa Mondavi is Ray - the exceptional on site maintenance person. He is not only quick and efficient when responding to issues - he is on site all the time which gives additional peace of mind to many tenants, including me. He's an extra set of eyes on the property every day, on top of keeping everything in tip top shape.

5 stars for the apartment, nice and clean. everything works. there was a heavy rainstorm and they removed the large debris and branches really fast. the cats and kittens are cute too.
be aware the you might have really poor cell reception here, so be sure to check your reception in various parts. its not their fault so i wont dock any points, but its still important to be aware of because i have a hard time calling my utilities providers or bank. i have AT&T and use an S5 Active.

Villa Mondavi really is a great place to live. I lived there from 2016-2017. The rent is so reasonable and the apartments are nice. AC/heat works perfect. The grounds are well taken care of. Also, gated and very safe. My boyfriend left this car windows down a lot accidentally and never had a problem. Another great part is the management is very nice. Leia always went out of her way to make things easy for me and I always appreciated that because I knew she didn't have to. I 100% wish that I could just pick this place up and move it to Washington state, but alas I have to leave. :(

I lived here for a little over two years and it is hands down the best apartment I have ever lived in. I would have continued to live here if I hadn't relocated out of state. Property manager (Leia) is extremely attentive and friendly. Any time I needed something fixed, they were on it. Even the landscaping people they hired would always say good morning to me as I would head off to work. Everyone associated with this property is fantastic!
My neighbors were really nice and quiet, most were professionals or a few (possibly) grad students. No major parties or strange people near my place.

I lived here for 2 years and would have continued living here if I didn't buy a house. This apartment complex is perfect for young professionals. It is quiet and peaceful. Never have any issues with loud neighbors. Washer and dryer are included in each apartment (big plus for me!).
Both the property manager and the maintenance guy are very nice. I had a water pipe burst late one night and leaking water all over the carpet, which I didn't discover it until 2AM! Most places would probably tell me to put down some rags and pray that my apartment won't be flooded in the morning. Ray

I have lived here for over 3 years and could not be more satisfied. The property is very well maintained and clean. In my short stay living here we had two managers-both were wonderful and extremely diligent. It does not matter what time of day or night- if you have a matainence issue they would attend to the matter immediately! I want to say a personal thank you to Ray for always keeping the property maintained and Leia for her professional and friendly attitude with the tenants. I would recommend this property to anyone who is a young business professional looking for a nice, quite and safe

I have lived at Mondavi Apt since 2003. It is an amazing place to live. Small and Safe. Pool area is always clean and not crowed. The Apartments are light and spacious- washer/dryer are in the apartments and are new.
The courtyard between each building provides privacy and the trees are old and well established so its again very private.
The Property Manager is Superb. She takes care of all special needs - and is extremely tentative to needs if they come up.
