Saturday night dinner Ocean 44 did not disappoint! I have been to Steak 44 several times and that place has a clubbing steak house atmosphere which is nice but Ocean 44 atmosphere is much more my aesthetic! Huge tall ceilings more current decor and lighting and the over all atmosphere is welcoming and spacious.
Very courteous and friendly staff, nicely spread out dining areas and bar area and little details like asking if I prefer a black or white dinner napkin are so appreciated! My cocktail drink was very nice and the staff tone was just right, informative convivial but not pushy.

Once I learned this restaurant was opened by the original owners of Mastro's I said YES let's go! The ambiance and service is stellar. We enjoyed the poke as an appetizer, delicious! My husband ordered the scallops, not recommended. Overcooked and fishy tasting. I liked my linguine and clams, but very greasy. We all like olive oil but let's not drown the poor noodles. Overall a nice dinner but it's tough to say I would go back with so many other great restaurants steps away.

Ocean 44 is always our go to place to celebrate or just want to have a fancy night out. This time we ordered our usual but ventured out and tried the branzino, it was very delicious and buttery. The Chilean seabass was not as good as it usually is; the center was a little under cooked and the fish was not as juicy and flavorful as previous times I've order the plate. The wood grilled spanish octopus is a must order! It is a flavor bomb and the octopus is perfectly cooked. Lobster roll was buttery and delicious as usual. Overall a great experience!

My time at ocean 44 was nothing short of amazing!!!! It was my first time at the restaurant; I celebrated my new job and being new to Arizona! Oceans 44 was the perfect option for this celebration. Parking was easy; I didn't use valet, just parked in the garage close to the restaurant. The hostess greeted me as soon as I walked in, and the check-in process was easy, and we only had to wait a few minutes past our reservation time to be seated. While we waited, I went to check out the restrooms mirrors to get a couple of pictures because I went to steak 44, and they had the best mirrors for

The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect an intimate dinner between two...I will say the filet mignon is one to remember. Tip get the larger steak as it is a better value and you will finish it, I mean I did

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. Owned by the family of Mastro's, they now own and operate Ocean and Steak 44 (named from 44th St) and Steak 48 (named as a nod to Arizona being the 48th St). The quality and design inside is top-notch and felt just like I was back home in LA. Our server was extremely polite and the menu has a lot of wonderful options. Parking is not available directly in front, easiest is valet but there is a ton of mall parking very close by.

I'm happy to announce that Ocean 44 is kid friendly! Parents bring your toddlers, let me scream and yell, bang silverware on the table, anything goes!
Jokes aside, I was dining with my mother for a special mother/daughter night out. It was obvious that as the only two women dining alone that the family with a misbehaving toddler got seated next to us.
After about 10 minutes of this screaming and crying I asked our server to reseat us before our food came...his response, 'we'll see how long it lasts'...wrong answer. There were plenty of open tables in the other rooms

Ocean44 is a wonderful treat in Scottsdale. If you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fabulous meal, I highly recommend coming here. Everything from the service to the ambiance to the FOOD is absolutely perfect. You can't go wrong with anything that you order here. Everything is incredibly fresh, seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

- Crispy Shrimp: This was my favorite appetizer. I loved how crispy and flavorful these little shrimps were. I recommend getting the smaller size (so you have enough space to try all the other dishes).

We had an excellent meal here tonight. They sat us right away with a reservation, and everyone was friendly.
Our waiter was competent and very familiar with the menu. Even though they were busy, we never had to wait around for water or for anything to come out of the kitchen.
The house bread is warm rolls with Parmesan, served in a skillet. Yum!
The portions were generous, and everything tasted great. It is too bad that we are only visiting Phoenix, or we would be back soon!

Honestly, this place deserves more than 5 stars! The service was immaculate from the second we walked through the door to the second we left. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and attentive and our server was great. I even got a phone call the next day to follow up and see how our experience was. We started our meal off with some cocktails, the Maine Lobster Escargot and some fresh oysters. Do yourself a favor and try the Maine Lobster Escargot - it was phenomenal. Our server was superb and attentive the entire evening, wish I remembered his name.
Always get the Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs which are a consistent favorite.
My husband wanted to try Pacific Yellowtail Hamachi so we did and was pleasantly surprised at how much he enjoyed it. Best poke if ever had and a good recommendation from our server!

12oz filet for dinner? That's always hard to pass up. My group and I all ordered steak and shared a few sides. A good steak is always concomitant with good potatoes. The praline sweet potatoes weren't good, they were great. For desert we shared the cookie butter kiss-all things I like .
I've come to the realization that most steakhouses in Arizona are ubiquitous. One steakhouse doesn't move internal needle more than the other, but it's no secret that any restaurant ending with a 44 has a palpable vibe. I believe other restaurants like Taco44, Ramen44, BobaTea44, or Pupusa44

I Hardly ever give a perfect 5 star rating, yet Ocean 44 tops the chart!
From the entrance, we were greeted by a warm, friendly highly energized staff. When we asked for alternative seating near the more boisterous, lively crowd we were immediately accommodated. We brought a couple here visiting us from LA , so we wanted to make sure we had a good time.

In honor of my birthday, my family and I went to dine for the first time. It was one of the best meals I've ever had! Our server was amazing and I believe his name was Damien. He was so knowledgeable and attentive. He gave us some of the beat suggestions for our meal.
Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The fish was flakey and the crab and lobster were great!
