Acapulco Restaurant was started by Juan Chacon almost 30 years ago with the goal to provide authentic Mexican food in the Salt Lake Valley. Working hand in hand with his wife, Graciela, they have worked tirelessly to turn Acapulco Restaurant into a staple within the community. After three decades their mission remains the same, serve exceptional food at an affordable price in a clean, welcoming, family friendly environment.

The food was okay. The food did not take a long time to come to our table. The place was not crowded at all. Service was not friendly, waitress appeared to be having a bad day. She seemed bothered when we did not order right away or when we asked for separate bills. Left a tip regardless hoping her day would improve.
The place has been around for a long time, maybe they are doing something right?
Certainly, it was not the service or the food.
The good news is that both things can be easily fixed.

This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. Their chips and salsa were much better than some of the other restaurants we have tried in the area. We both got the large combination platter and everything on it was delicious. The staff were quick and friendly and provided recommendations for food and beverages. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Nice, small Mexican restaurant with a wide variety of Mexican Dishes. The staff are English and Spanish friendly and it's typically not too busy. The staff are also really friendly and kind. The food tastes delicious and allows for a real Mexican food experience. Meals come with chios and salsa and more often than not beans and rice. It's small and not well known, but it's a good place to go and I recommend it.
