My pet was taken care with such love. Those Vet Techs are sweet and professional.

Positive: Professionalism
The staff is always so professional, and any staff member I have interacted with appears genuinely happy 😊 I am so grateful for their exemplary service. They treat my fur baby like their very own!

My fur baby was injured and I was frantic, there was no assistance to me other than a slip of paper for intake 3300 north during rush hour and that they were not accepting any new patients. A business focused on your fur babies with no empathy; I believe this speaks volumes or maybe it's just me.

We've been coming here for years and it has really gone downhill due to incompetent and unprofessional staff.

Recently we had an appointment for our cat, confirmation email and everything. My husband took time away from work, bundled up the scared cat, paid for parking, etc. They were closed when he got there - no explanation as to why they had let us make an appointment for a time they were closed. I called later and left a message explaining what had happened, and no one even bothered to call me back. I mean, what?

We were annoyed but decided it could have been a fluke and gave them

I used to take my dog here but will not continue to do due to negligence. A dog got eating here by another dog in the back and that's disgusting. How can something like this happened?? I left my dog here overnight and it terrifies me....I will no longer be a customer. I love my dog and animals deserve better.
Trying to cover up a mess that happened! Shame on you!

This review is about the rehab services and the rehab tech, Kimmie. Kimmie is the BEST. She is extremely knowledgeable and extremely caring. She always goes the extra mile for your pet. And she is a veterinary nurse as well, so she can give advice on other matters and really has a comprehensive understanding of your pet's needs. We have had three dogs who needed rehab services - water treadmill therapy, work on the "obstacle course," and laser -- and she significantly improved the life of all three. And when our young dog was ready to end rehab work (the other two were aged...), she told us so

Do yourself a favor and take your pets somewhere else!! Somewhere who truly care about your pet's well-being! All they want to do here its run unnecessary tests to take your money!! After spending over $1000 on one visit running tests. They never had the decency to call me to go over the results! After several tries they where able to return my phone calls! DO NOT BUY MEDICATION FROM THEM. YOU ASK FOR THE PRESCRIPTION AND BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Least friendly staff. Had small inflammation on my puppy was hoping just to get looked at and a quick opinion to see if it was serious and I live right across the street. No care whatsoever. Extremely unfriendly and highly don't recommend. They wouldn't care anyway.

Edit: After posting my review the vet reached out to resolve the problem and get our cats in. I still believe they need more staff because 3 week wait time for a simple issue that could affect the health of pets is not cool but I do appreciate them trying to remedy the issue.

DO NOT COME HERE. They are greedy money grabbers who put your pets at risk just because of their love of money. My 2 cats were out of flea/heart worm medication and I called 2 get just ONE DOSE more for each of them until I could get an appointment (Because, by the way, appointments are running out 3 weeks right now) and

Where do I start????!?!?! First off manager's and supervisors don't exist at this location...like never available never return calls! The veterinarian. Ms Hopkins never return calls either. Their communication skills are not lacking thats being too friendly, they dont exist! I have probably spent a lil $1,000 from the end until 3/25 when I… paid to have my baby cremated for almost $400. The whole cremating experience was frustrating and I left my dog ashes there bc I was not given everything that I should have for the amount paid. They took my VIP money without the VIP service. Every encounter

This place is horrible. It used to be great then dr. Wakefield retired and it went all the way down. The communication is poor and full of mistakes. People pay good money for their pets to have such bad service and be required to pay deposits upfront. If they take forever it’s ok if you are 5 min late they cannot accommodate you. They don’t listen… to client requests when booking. I hope they begin to listen and decide the south side resident pet owners are deserving of good care.
Front desk is basic at best. Veterinarians constantly change. Get one you like and then they leave

They’re okay. But now they’re charging a $70 deposit to book an appointment, something I’ve never heard of even from a doctors office. And the service isn’t great to be honest; a deposit is a little weird. I’m concerned for those who need the appointments for their pets but won’t be able to put down a deposit at the time needed.

When you call for an appointment, the person answering doesn't care what your pet's problem is and treats you like a total stranger even if you're a long-time client. I get that appointments are limited with COVID, but there's no priority given to animals that are in pain or may have an infection (which our dog does, as it turns out). There's no… offer to relay the information to a vet and have them get back to you. Also, hope you like seeing a different vet every single time -- and that was before COVID. And they hardly ever return phone calls. I could go on, but the sale of this place

I've been taking both of my pets, Leah & Stanley to both locations and have had no issues with the service. Dr. Williams was very helpful with my Staffie Mix and her allergies. Dr. Baker is always great and answers my questions and concerns with both pooches. I can tell at times when the front desk staff are a bit agitated based on some of their responses to other clients but that is to be expected at times when dealing with the public. The service for my dogs has been great since moving here a year ago and the 53rd street location is very convenient.

Avoid bringing your pets here. This office is plagued with poor staff, poor communication and in Dr. Jeremy Williams, a well-trained but BUMBLING and disorganized vet whose lack of attention and misdiagnoses are going to end up one day resulting in your pet being killed. They’ve had so many opportunities to get it together and cannot rise to the occasion. We deserve a more accountable vet on the South east side and this one is not it. Save yourself the stress and the money and go elsewhere. Trust me on this.

I miss Dr. Wake. The new owners try to up sell you on stuff your animal really doesnt need; every time you go there, the staff either doesnt know or changes the prices willy nilly; you challenge based upon what you previously paid and then walla - the price changes. they send you email notifications regarding your pets need for vaccinations days and months after your pet has been to their clinic.

The staff is nice rude. Never ask to speak to manager cause the staff will make sure you never get one; they will lie, place you on perma hold and after several call backs, promise a call from a manger

The Staff is very understanding and super sweet to the patient and well as to the owners. The doctors are very professional and take time to truly explain what's going on with your pet. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I took my cat in when I realised she had a tumour. The vet, a woman whose name I don't remember (I believe she replaced the one who retired) was...eh, fine. She did point out that Frida had a massive plaque problem that should be tended to but also said we would wait till we figured out the tumour issue first. In the meantime, she also suggested kitty was...zaftig and reducing her weight would be ideal (to which I agreed), but then pushed their inhouse brand of kitty food, which irritated me.
I made it clear that I was pretty near indigent and that kitty was going to be taken care of by friends

I am never coming to or referring this place ever again. I was turned away despite being a patient for years due to inability to pay in full. I explained it was an emergency visit and my cat and I were just there 4 months ago for the same issue (UTI WITH crystals!!!). I also explained that I am currently on disability so my pay is reduced from my normal full-time working salary and that I would pay the balance (less than 70 dollars) within 30 days. I stated I was able to do this for my other pet just 2 months prior, where I paid the remaining balance within 10 days, but was still turned away even

We love Hyde Park Animal Clinic. When we moved to Chicago I was nervous, because our former vet was absolutely amazing. HPAC has been a great replacement. Dr. Williams is especially great. They're always great at getting us a prompt appointment or a callback. Their prices are reasonable for the area and quality of service.

I must say that I prefer the clinic location to the Stony Island one. It's much less hectic and I find the office staff much more friendly and effecient. In a pinch the other location works too.
