I believe that within each of us there is an inner longing to feel whole, balanced and alive. This inner sense grows out of an awareness of self, a radical acceptance of self as well as the courage to change that which stands in our way. Therapy can be part of the journey toward this transformation, toward claiming a more authentic life.
Uncovering old patterns of thought and behavior can often bring up uncomfortable feelings and memories. My job as your therapist is to provide you with a safe place where you can fully engage into the process of self discovery, change and growth. I will be there as a facilitator not as someone who has the answers for what is right for you.

Because therapy is such a personal and sacred experience I believe that it is essential for you to feel that we are a good fit to begin working together.
When I work with clients who have experienced trauma I first want establish a sense of safety, grounding and awareness, before beginning to process the traumatic experience. Sometimes this can be a frustrating process but I have experienced first hand that people can live more productive and intentional lives after they have healed from the effects the trauma has had on their bodies and their minds.
