Brainspotting is a therapeutic technique that focuses on a much deeper level of brain processing. Instead of staying in the logical, rational parts of the brain, like we normally do with talk therapy, brainspotting addresses the deep emotional experiences that are held in the midbrain. Brainspotting's been shown to help people move past trauma or upsetting situations, improve anxiety, cope with grief and much more.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. Could we have a weirder name for an evidence-based, highly effective therapy treatment for trauma or upsetting life events? I doubt it! Don't be thrown off by the name, though. There's a plethora of information and research out there on the effectiveness of EMDR.
Even saying the word 'grief' can feel heavy. Grief is something we would all prefer to never have to feel, but we will inevitably experience it at different points in our lives. You might even say grief is a fundamental aspect of being human. Yet, grieving can be incredibly painful and all-consuming.
It can be common for friends or family to tell a highly sensitive person that they need to "toughen up, " "let things go, " "grow a thicker skin, " "stop crying so much, " or to "stop being so sensitive." You may feel frequently overwhelmed and struggle with situations that others seem to deal with easily.

I have worked professionally with Ivy Griffin for several years and have watched her develop and manage a thriving private practice with unparalleled enthusiasm and professionalism.
Ivy is my “go-to colleague” when I need professional advice and assistance. For me, she is a “leader amongst leaders” and quite frankly sets the bar amongst therapists for her calm, caring, and concerned approach toward everyone with whom she interacts.
I know her client base is extremely loyal to her - no doubt for her consistent positive approach and skill set. It is very apparent that she is a dedicated

The clinical director and owner, Ivy has such a gracious, kind, warm, supportive spirit. You will be in such wonderful hands with any therapist on her team that is growing under her guidance and supervision. You can really tell that Ivy is the kind of person who puts her whole heart into her clients, staff, and community.

Leigh is a life saver. 30/10 could not recommend them enough. In our first session it was very clear they knew how to navigate me. I can be a lot and scattered and they always bring me back to a centered space. We never leave sessions without a plan put in place on how we can work on things and put them into practice in real world situations. If i could have daily sessions with them I would!

I was really looking forward to making an appointment with this center after doing a lot of research and reading about the center on their web site. I called and their voice mail states they are not taking new patients and do not accept people with EAP/Magellan, which I was disappointed since they do specifically list this as a benefit they offer. When I called the phone number provided on their website, the voicemail states they have a new phone number and asks you to call it. So, I left a message at the new number and they never called back...My advice as a consumer, please be more empathetic
