A healthy smile is vital to your overall health. It is our mission to work with patients to ensure they have healthy smiles that they are proud of. We want our patients to feel part of a community when they return to our office for treatment. Educating patients about their own dental health and offering the most cutting edge procedures makes a visit to Falmouth Dental Health feel comfortable and productive.
We will prescribe a bridge when one or more teeth are missing and there are healthy teeth on both sides of the open space. Bridges can be made from three types of material, solid gold for reliable long wear, porcelain fused to a gold base for strength and beauty, and high-strength metal-free porcelain for optimum cosmetic results.
We request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Short notice cancellations or missed appointments are subject to a charge. Please understand that missed appointment times are valuable to those patients that may find it hard to come to the dentist at other times. Please help us serve you better by keeping your scheduled appointments.
When carbamide peroxide, the active whitening agent, contacts water, hydrogen peroxide is released which whitens the teeth. Bleaching does not soften, demineralize or weaken the teeth. There is some evidence that over-the-counter bleaching products do whiten teeth, however, many of the products are too abrasive and can damage the teeth with extended use or misuse.

Such a great office. Everyone was so nice, from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist. Excellent care from start to finish, and received a very gentle cleaning that didn't hurt! They also did great with little kids, as young as four. The location is pretty good too, nice large space with plenty of room, felt clean and well organized. They are closed on Fridays, but otherwise it was fairly easy to get an appointment.

The staff at Falmouth Dental Health are just great. They recognize me when I walk in the office and make me feel welcome. Amanda is a wonderful dental hygienist - very thorough, while also being gentle. Dr. Van Nostrand has helped me through two very complicated implants, and I'm very grateful for the work that he has performed.

Remember those days when you dreaded going to the dentist? Well with Dr VanNostrand and Dr Smith I promise you will rest comfortably in the dental chair. My hygienist Beth is awesome and thorough and my cleanings are completely pain-free. I take good care of my teeth, but I'm a jaw-clencher, and with all that pressure on my teeth and old fillings (not placed by Falmouth Dental Health), I wound up needing several crowns. From Dr. Van, my hygienist Beth, and dental assistants Danielle and Ann Marie to the entire office staff (Camilla, Filomena, Heather, and Liz -- in alphabetical order!), everyone in this office is terrific. When I needed several crowns, we were able to tackle them in a very… conservative way. We waited a bit until I had the finances to get them done. I have been a patient at Falmouth Dental Health for the majority of the last 30 years, except for a period when they became out-of-network with my insurance, which is true once again. Even though I have to pay out-of-pocket for services, I returned to Falmouth Dental Health after going to another provider in the area for a couple of years because… the quality of service and knowledge is unparalleled! So, where to begin?? Maybe with my twenty-five years as an employee at Falmouth Dental Health!! The plan is to retire from there some day, having been a part of an amazing organization filled with health oriented, highly knowledgeable and focused staff, doctors (and patients), whom I define like “my family”, more than anything else.
