East Louisville Animal Hospital
On the big side, we're still operating on a curbside model, which means that our phone lines are busier than they used to be, handling all the check-in calls, in addition to appointment and prescription requests. We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with longer than expected wait or on-hold times-we're frustrated, too.

But we're working very hard to provide the best care we can in the timeliest manner possible. One thing the pandemic has not changed is our commitment to you and your pets. We're more devoted than ever to your furry family's health and to nurturing the bond you share.

Hi! I'm Murray, the spokes-dog for East Louisville Animal Hospital! My dad Dr. Edlin is the owner of the hospital and he figured it was time for me to earn my keep by assisting with some introductions that don't involve invasive sniffing. We have the greatest staff who help us. This is Dr. Edlin is the lead veterinarian, but I just call him dad (or sometimes "The Food Guy").
I need to share my experience after a night of losing sleep trying to decide where to take my fur baby. ELAH was the best decision I could have made. From the moment I called them they were caring, compassionate, and helpful. My dog was having issues for a year and my old vet couldn't diagnose her.
Our staff at East Louisville Animal Hospital are experienced in diagnosing and addressing behavioral problems. Our approach molds together skills from behavioral medicine, veterinary clinical medicine and pet training, where we aim to help pets and their owners live comfortably and safely. A pet's behavior affects all interactions their owner has with them.

I have never had a bad experience bringing my dogs here. Almost everyone knows them by name and my dogs LOVE seeing everyone. My dogs are large and rambunctious, but they are very comfortable with everyone who works here. Overall I’d say you can’t find a place with people who truly love animals more. We have a 5 year old English Bulldog and over the course of 6-9 months he had severe diarrhea, stomach bloating and stopped eating. We took him to East Louisville multiple times after the issues began and every time blood work was done and tweaks were made to his diet but nothing changed and no diagnosis was ever given. The picture below where he is on the couch is him prior to all issues. The picture where you can see his ribs is him at his worst.
We truly thought he was going to die and never got any answers from East Louisville about what his condition was. After a few thousand dollars we decided

We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Micciche. She went very out of her way to care for our kitten with a congenital defect. She took the time out of her busy days to personally call us frequently with updates. She is very passionate and tender in her veterinary care. She left no stone unturned in treatment/diagnosis. The entire staff here is warm and welcoming. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone!

My wife and I have been taking our dogs here for a while with generally good results. However today I had an appointment at 11, was there, called in, and asked to wait in my car with my puppy. So we waited, and waited, for over an hour until I called back in. They said they forgot about me, and would be right out. A simple sorry is all I got after waiting for over an hour watching people get service and leave, over and over again. So I requested my dogs records so I can go elsewhere for service.
Usually good, but not willing to be attentive to people waiting for appointments and not really caring

I recently started going here for a new kitten I just got. The veterinarians were very attentive, it is affordable, and their prescription medicine is cheaper than other veterinarians in the area. However, I gave them a 3 star rating because of a sour experience I had with a receptionist. I was fearful that my cats nose was potentially hurt (maybe broken), described the situation of his reaction, how he got hurt, the subsequent reaction days after, the shape of his nose. I simply asked if this is potentially the structure of his nose and if I should have concern, emphasizing that he had little

Good ol' Google continues to believe that I have visited this fine establishment. I have not - but I have it on good authority that they are top-notch! (They do not, however, validate parking...)
