I really wanted to love this studio because the pricing is so awesome - $7.50 for a 30 minute class, $15 for a 45-60 minute one. The schedule is structured so that you can take classes back to back for a longer workout. However, the downside to a 30 minute class is that the class is insanely fast paced. It's a lot of aerobic choreography with some light weights and bands mixed in. There's minimal emphasis on proper form I haven't seen any modifications offered. I always feel two steps behind and also feel frustrated because none of this is anything you can use while working out on

I tried really hard to want to like this boutique gym; but after my 4th class, realizing this place just isn't working for me. The last class I took, really messed-up my back super bad, and was out of commission for a whole week. Not a place for those just getting back into working out, because it's too fast-paced, and no modifications given at all. If you don't have a solid foundation, you probably will hurt yourself here like me.

I wanted so badly to like this studio. I like the class options and pricing structure, but I just do not enjoy the space or the classes themselves. The studio has a couple small fans, but they are rarely turned on and the space gets so hot. It becomes borderline dangerous because the floor gets sweaty and slippery. The music is so loud that you can't hear the instructor, and my ears are ringing after classes - they actually offer ear plugs at the front desk (why not just turn down the music a little bit??). The classes are intense, but in a way that they're borderline dangerous because

PSF is an awesome workout studio. Some of the best workouts of my life were at this place!

Unfortunately, I stopped coming here. I feel really bad saying this, and it might be a totally unpopular opinion... but then again, I might be saying what everyone else is thinking: I really don't like how they have us go outside in public and run/do exercises right on the street. I also stopped going because they started posting videos of us on social media in the midst of our workout. I could understand far away shots of the entire class, but it's all up close and personal.

If this is really

I joined this gym about 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it! The short calls format (20-30 minute classes) are great. They are so fast-paced but you get an amazing workout in such a short time- they really kick my butt! I also really love the variety of classes they have, I can try out many different things and see what I like best. Highly recommend!

I have been doing TRX for the past 7 years and when I moved to Chicago, I was on the hunt for a studio that offered TRX classes. I was thrilled to come across Power Sculpt Fitness, a reasonably priced studio with excellent TRX classes infused with cardio. As someone who does not love cardio, I have enjoyed (and struggled) to get my body used to doing more cardio!

In addition to TRX classes, I have broadened to others like Power Sculpt and Barre, which are great and kick my butt! I do wish they had more classes after 6pm (since I don't get out of work until then) and more TRX classes, but

I have been working out here since the end of summer. I am glad I made the move. The classes are intense. There is a nice variety and I never feel bored. I have no affiliation with this place whatsoever. As a mom, I appreciate that the classes move and I get the most out of my hour. The only complaint I have is that the popular classes can be crowded. Good luck.

I was intimidated to try this studio after seeing insane people on a Sunday morning jogging back from a workout. But I finally mustered up the courage to try it and now I'm hooked. 30 minute workouts are intense but when u finish the endorphins give u a great happy high feeling. I want to also thank Caroline, one of the best instructors at the studio. After my first few classes I was frustrated about not being able to keep up (e.g. In her TRX class). I spoke to her after class and she gave me great advice to focus on stabilizing myself first (e.g. stay at a more upright angle) then build confidence

I come here sporadically for spinning, maybe once a month. The pros are that you can buy classes as you go and they have a 30 minute express spinning class for only $7.50. The class is usually less than half full so I never have a problem registering right before class.

I'll keep coming for the price and the workout but there are improvements that they seriously need to make before I return more often. First, their class times are just awful. I can usually only make it here once a month as it is. Very few classes after work. Most are around 4-5 so us 9-5ers don't have many options

There's a difference between pushing yourself and a dangerous workout and this place crosses the line. The class moves at such an insane pace you have to be on speed to accurately keep up. While that helps work up a sweat, your form is sacrificed if you're using weights at the same time and there's risk for injury. Speaking of injury, the instructor didn't ask about them and you're pretty much s.o.l if you have one because there are no modifications and again it's such a rapid pace if you try to accommodate you're already 5 moves behind.

I have been meaning to write a review for Power Sculpt Fitness for so long---there is nothing else like this place and I did not realize how amazing it was until I no longer have it! I joined back in 2013 when trying to get in shape for my upcoming wedding. It was just two blocks away making it hard not to go and they had a great package for those trying to get in shape for a wedding--they also have a post baby package as well. The discount for a monthly pass if you go at least 20 times is incredibly motivating and makes it incredibly affordable. The class times are great---plenty of early

This studio is a perfect compliment to those wishing to push their workout to the next level or just get back in shape and get that sexy body you've always wanted. EVERY instructor is hardcore and they push you to the limit. I prefer Laura S. w/Barre, Heather & Laura N. for all classes and Trina for Foam Roller stretch. I'd like more Foam roller stretch classes, the music to not be so loud(they provide ear plugs) and showers, but I deal because the studio is that good. They play mostly EDM music except for cycle classes and it keeps you motivated. Within two weeks, and a decent diet

I love me some PSF! I stumbled upon them after I moved to the area while I was using Class Pass and when I realized Class Pass offered very limited studios in my area I cancelled with them and joined Power Sculpt Fitness full time.

I could go on about reasons I love working out at PSF but here's a short list:

You get discounted packages just for working out - where else does this happen? Literally if I take a certain number of classes a month I get a discount on my next month. And there's always some sort of challenge going on for free days here or there. Other boutique fitness studios

Love this place! Been coming for 3 years and still not bored! They really mix up the class schedule through out the year to keep it interesting. Also a big fan of the online registration system. It makes me accountable! I don't think an 8 hour cancelation policy is unreasonable. This isn't a huge gym and other members want to get in the classes. Pretty standard policy for most studios this size!

I love love PSF, I have been to many different gyms, I've done many different workouts...rollerblading, step, running, Pilates the list goes on and on. But after taking one class at Power Sculpt Fitness with Heather Hughes I was hooked. I've been there for years now and never get bored or lack motivation. They make it so easy to work out and keep working out. The class formats change often and the you never really know what you'll get when you walk in. But you are guaranteed to leave sweaty and feeling great about yourself.
