The employees at the front desk are always super friendly!! And the gym itself is clean, never too crowded, and is overall a great environment. The cycling classes with Brian and Ken are so good!! They are exhausting, but in the best way. I’ve never been much of a gym person, but I honestly really enjoy going now.

Excellent selection of equipment, clean facility, friendly staff. Great place to workout. Staff member Meet does an excellent job keeping the place clean which is very important during this pandemic. Front desk staff goes above and beyond to provide great customer service including looking around the facility to help me find a lost set of keys. Glad to be a member!!

Nice gym, but the mask mandate here is a joke. The check in desk is two floors from the workout room and the staff never really comes down. At any given time about half of the patrons have theirs below their chin, and there’s always a handful with it completely off. I hate working out masked as anyone else. But I don’t understand why sweat doesn’t mandate the vaccine so the requirement can be dropped if it’s not even going to be enforced. Makes it hard to stay focused on working out. I often visit the branch in manayunk and there are no issues at all there.

This review is for the One South Broad location. The gym is excellent. Always clean and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. Alyssa, the manager, has created a great environment for all members, no matter what shape you're in. I've been training with Crystal and she is awesome - extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. All in all I can't think of a better gym experience and I would recommend this location to anyone.

The gym itself has everything you need - a ton of dumbbells (and heavy ones!), and a wide variety of cables and machines. For the price in downtown Philly, you can't beat it. The staff is also great and makes the gym the best one in the area. Thanks Alyssa, Jack, Crystal, Ran, and Kenny!

Love Sweat One Broad. Alyssa the manager is probably the most friendly and interactive manager I have ever experienced at any gym. The entire staff is great

My time at Sweat Fitness has been great. Alyssa was been great at communicating clearly with me about what options I had to maximize the use of my time at the gym and the rest of the staff has been kind and accommodating as well (shoutout to Daran!)
Utilizing the personal training option, I have definitely gotten my money's worth (thanks Crystal). I highly recommend taking advantage of everything Sweat has to offer. You can't go wrong!

So happy that classes are back 🔥💪🏻‼️
Sweat Fitness is a great place to be- not just because of the gym itself- but also because of the people that work there. Every member gets free classes and a personal training session when they sign up. The team members go above and beyond to make sure that you have support to reach your fitness goals. The gym is clean and safe. That’s what a gym should be all about.

My husband and I have been members for over a year and have enjoyed our experience. In summary- great value for the area, everything you need in a gym. Classes aren't the best but can't blame them at the price point. COVID precautions have been sufficient to make me feel comfortable going in.

1. Price: we locked in a rate of $45/mo which is the most reasonable price in the area by far for what we need and want. We want access to weights, squat racks, etc. The really cheap gyms like planet fitness only have Smith machines which are not the same as squat racks, so you really cannot compare

3rd St Sweat is the worst/expensive GYM I've ever been too. Good luck finding a flat surface to stretch or do back exercises on..the yoga room floor is uneven, warped, and smells terrible! The Cardio machines all have some type of mechanical problem and the floor is so hollow that the whole room shakes like an earthquake whenever anyone is exercising around you. I get sick just thinking about how bad this place is..only good thing is clean towels up

This is the main sweat fitness I go to. Why? Because it’s almost never packed. Even when it is full you never have to wait long to get on a machine. The cardio equipment/work out rooms are located upstairs and the weight lifting equipment is downstairs. It’s also fairly long downstairs for those who like to do sprints. The equipment is not old but it’s not super new. I get a pretty solid workout here without feeling like there’s anything missing.
One thing I do not like is that they close at 5 pm on the weekends. I’m done with work at 4pm when I work weekends and have to rush to the

I only come here because it's so convenient to where I live. I don't use the classes since my obscene work schedule clashes with just about everything else in the world. Mostly I come here for the elliptical or treadmills. Most of them are broken in some way and it's been that way for years. Ridiculous. The one perk is membership gets you into the other sweats in the area chiefly the center city one which for now seems maintained.

This is hands-down the worst gym I've ever been to. It falls short on equipment, cleanliness, communication, and pricing. I used to belong to a Planet Fitness because I like clean, cheap, no-nonsense gyms that offer the basics. After moving to Old City, I was in search of something similar, so I bought a Groupon for 15 visits (includes regular gym visits or group fitness classes) for roughly $45. Oh man, I felt bad wasting the money, but I could only force myself to come here about 9 times over the course of 3 months. The gym itself is in an old row-house, and has a distinctly dirty feel to

I called this location on 2/19/19 to put a 3-month hold on my account. Today, 3/22/19, in the midst of financial hardship, I find that they took $50 out of my account anyway. I called this location to see what was going on and they put me on hold for 17 minutes. I hung up, called back, and no one picked up. I called back several more times and received the same result. This is absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service. I have never had a bad experience with the gym in the past, and I'm extremely disappointed. $50 right now is really tight for me and I desperately needed this money for

I decided to give this gym a try since it's right in my neighborhood. It was very disappointing with an unappealing vibe. The spin bikes are all in poor condition and you need to move them on your own. There's a bucket in the middle of the room apparently to address a leak. I'm glad I gave it a free try as I won't be joining.

The equipment looks like it was recently replaced, or at least the cushions on the benches and weight equipment were anyway, so that's awesome. But my main issue with the gym is how absolutely crazy disgusting the showers are. The curtains are covered in pink and it looks like black mold, and that extends to the shower stalls as well. I don't know if or how often they replace those, or if they clean the shower stalls at all, but they need to. I use the showers only when I absolutely need to. Management, if you read this, please please PLEASE do something about this. I complained about

Nothing works at this gym.

Every equipment is old, for example, some seats are torn as if someone ate them or treadmill screams with you when you're running on it.

Friendly staff, but this gym is just out for your money. They didn't tell me that there's a 60 day cancellation notice when I joined and a $100 fee to cancel. I precisely remember because that is the very first question I asked and told me no, I can cancel anytime. They managed to waive the fee, but I had to pay the next month because they will amend to 30 day cancellation notice instead of 60 days. I also asked if

I joined this gym just to go to classes, so my review is mostly for Curtis's 6am spin class on Monday and Friday. I absolutely love this class and look forward to going back twice a week. He is really motivating and it's a great work out to start your day so early in the morning.

I can't say much for the gym itself since I don't use the equipment but the staff is really friendly. I've taken various other classes and Elana's spin class on Wednesday night is really good too. Overall, great experience!

I always expected the worst from gyms but I really enjoyed my time at Sweat. Originally I signed up at their original Arch St location but I ended up going to Old City's location a lot more. Bill the manager at Old City was incredibly helpful in resolving my membership issues that the guy who signed me up screwed up on. The space is decent- I never had any issues with finding a machine or space to work out. I paid for a year membership up front and it worked out to be around $37/month which was a great price for something that is so convenient. I thought I would have a problem cancelling the

Overall, I have had nothing but positive experiences here.

Pros - The staff are mostly friendly and welcoming. I have had one staff member out of maybe 6 that I really was not fond of the way he interacted with me, but maybe it was a bad day? Equipment is constantly being wiped down by users and people put their weights back!! :) Makes me so happy and calms my ODD.. seriously. The cleaner is always cleaning. Membership cost for location is great IMO but my office is around the corner so it works for me. If you need food ASAP it's conveniently located near lots of places where you can

Management knowingly allows their rear exit, which is through a code required fire rated corridor, to be blocked by a giant truck tire that some of their patrons use for a naive attempt at strength training (when you have weights and equipment, you don't need a tire).

This is a violation of the fire code and is against the law. They are endangering the lives of everyone who works for, or patronizes, the other businesses in the building, including a daycare center!

I've brought this to the attention of multiple employees over a 2 year period, and they've done nothing.

I seriously haven't sweat this much during a run since I was training for a boxing match in the Phuket jungle. I'm serious!!

It's kind of like a Planet Fitness, but a local chain with locations around Philly.

Let me tell you, the temperature in this place is cranked up to 11. It usually takes me a while to break a sweat, but in like 2 minutes here I was pouring sweat. It was really oppressive.

The machines are quite beat up and used, which was a bit of a bummer given you have to pay for jacked up equipment.

And this is quite a "pretty people's gym." I don&apos

Yep, as other reviewers have noted, this gym is pretty bad.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the temperature issues on the top floor. It's literally a sauna up there. To the point where when I went to check out the gym before I became a member, I commented about how hot it was, and a Sweat Fitness worker told me that they had just finished a hot yoga session (um, right). I don't understand why offices and department stores during the summer are colder than this place. The 1st floor seems to be fine, but the 1st floor cold air is being wasted on weightlifters. Meanwhile, those

I can't quite get a handle on this SWEAT location... Having initially visited the Fitler Square spot, and gradually started adding in trips to the Center City location, I finally head over to Old City a few times for some group classes. I felt a little unsure of which door to enter, having gone to Brazen Boxing (which is on the THIRD floor of the same set of stairs) a few times, but didn't take long to figure it out.

The set up of bottom floor for weights, second floor for cardio is similar to the CC spot, and I don't hate it. Keeps things compartmentalized, though the cardio area
