All through his high school years, Doug was always working on his cars and that is where he learned what he knows today. He spent most of his automotive technician days at Acura and Nissan.

Very honest. We took one of our vehicles here, for a second opinion, and they told us the other shop basically lied. We didn't need the services that were recommended by the first shop. Saved us from spending unnecessary money. The shop is located in Leesburg. Not too far from downtown so if it's not something that'll take more than a day, wouldn't be bad to drop off, shop, and eat while you wait.

Took my car to D & D with what I thought were issues. They told me not to worry about certain items and provided information that put me at ease and directed me for further action by the dealer as the found issue might end up being covered by the manufacturer! And they didn't charge me to take the time to investigate and tell me all of this! Thank you!!

BEWARE - Ask for pricing prior to dropping car off for service. $120 for a synthetic oil change. Dropped off my 2015 VW Passat for a synthetic oil change. After 6 hours, I was informed that my car was ready to be picked up. The cost was $108 (including a $15 off coupon). Furthermore, the receipt I received didn't have a cost breakdown of the materials or the labor. Rather, it provided the line item of each part (oil and filter) and the total price. This same oil change cost me $80 at the VW dealership.

I love this auto shop. They are always helpful, get things done quickly, and have been able to fix or help with any issues/questions I have with my MDX. They perform the MDX maintenance servicing as well which is way more convenient than going to a dealership, and I find their pricing to be very fair and reasonable. A great local shop that gives me peace of mind with my vehicle.

Fairly new to Leesburg. I took my Mazda RX-8 here to get looked at. Honestly, some of the negative reviews on Yelp didn't sit well with me but I still took a chance with this place. Glad I did, felt like they were friendly hard working folks. They were very transparent with what issues I had and helpful. I would go back again.

*update* I am updating my review because they emailed me a day later admitting to a communication issue with the front and the mechanic. They fixed my car and refunded me he money, saying they don't want to have anyone leave unhappy. I can truly appreciate that.

My son took my Jeep to this place for a repair estimate. The rear brake cylinder was leaking and they called me with an almost $600 estimate to replace and repair. I told them no thanks because I found the part on Amazon for $14. The rude woman on the phone that I spoke with would not release the vehicle to my son. She told us there is a charge for doing an estimate. Never heard of this before. They were holding the vehicle hostage until I called Leesburg Police. Once the police were engaged they gave the car back to my son. Never ever will I do business with this bunch of crooks!!!

Went to get my spark plugs replaced since the engine was idling rough. D&D replaced the plugs but the idling wasn't any better. The engine is a V8 and D&D charged me $37.00 PER PLUG! I asked the owner why the plugs cost that insane amount per plug (usually ~$6.00) and he said: "I have to make a profit somehow."
I took the car back since the idle was still rough. Talked to the owner and he blamed me for the issue saying that I drove he car too much... WHAT???

Unfortunately another repair need on our VW Tiguan this year- the AC went bust. Doug and D&D took care of troubleshooting and replacing the compressor and control head for $1,158 parts & labor- way less than the other estimates we received for the job. Blowing ice cold air for the rest of the summer!

Had to get my inspection on the 29th of the month. SCARY. Expecting lines everywhere, I stopped at 2 places in downtown Leesburg. The first said to come back in an hour. That wasn't too bad. But then I drove a block to D & D and they took me right away.

We were looking to purchase a car for my son and found one in Leesburg that looked good on paper, but we wanted to have a mechanic look at it first. We called D & D to see if they'd be able to fit us in that day. Joe answered and said they'd be happy to help us. We brought the car by and Joe said it would be done in an hour. Found D&D after failing inspection on my front brake hoses at Virginia Tire & Auto of Ashburn and being quoted a ridiculous price for replacement with a mandatory brake flush and then drawn a picture of a square and 4 lines to represent my brake reservoir and brake lines when I questioned why I needed a flush, assuming I had no idea how my car works.

I live in Ashburn and I wasn't going to get screwed by Virginia tire and auto again. My parents told me of this place and I decided to take my sonata there to be looked at. I wanted a second opinion after Virginia tire and auto claimed I needed to add around $500 worth of parts.
Doug who looked at my vehicle was very professional and honest with me. My oil cap needed to be replaced but he claimed it didn't have to happen until when summer rolls around. I asked him about the other things I supposedly needed and he explained what was happening and that equipment was completely unnecessary
