Services
We are proud of our commitment to Colorado Springs' pets and pet owners, and we are confident that in just one visit, you will see why Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital is a place you and your companion will feel right at home for veterinary care. One of the most beneficial services offered at Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital is a thorough and complete yearly physical examination.
Most veterinary hospitals in Colorado Springs offer vaccinations. The difference at Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital is that we customize an immunization program for your companion's specific needs. It can be difficult to know what questions to ask your veterinarian about vaccinations, especially considering the multitude of vaccine products available and the differences between brands in term of design, safety and efficacy.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that is spread through the urine of infected wildlife (including rodents), livestock or even other dogs. It is one of the most common zoonotic (spread from animals to humans) diseases world wide. This means it can not only be fatal to your dog, but to you as well!
Bordetella bronchiseptica is a bacterial infection that is typically part of a complex of respiratory diseases that results in what is commonly known as "kennel cough" in dogs. This is a bit of a misnomer as a dog certainly does not need to be in a kennel situation to be exposed.
Infected dogs will demonstrate signs of an upper respiratory infection including a dry hacking cough (some patients will even bring up phlegm or appear to be vomiting), nasal discharge, watery eyes, as well as a decreased appetite and energy level.Because this infection is so widespread and easily transmitted, we consider it a core vaccine and recommend it for all dogs regardless of their current lifestyle.

This is a combination vaccine that protects cats against feline viral rhinotracheitis (feline herpes), calicivirus and feline panleukopenia (feline distemper). The feline herpes virus and calicivirus are both major causes of upper respiratory infections in cats with potentially long term, and even life long consequences.

Dr. Gerleman and Dr. McIntosh have both taken amazing care of our dogs every since we moved to Colorado Springs (6 years ago). Sincerely caring, extremely competent and we trust them completely. We now live in Peyton, but still choose to bring our furry kids to them for their care.

I wish I would've read the reviews for this place before I took my puppy here. They care more about money than animals. I went in with his vaccination record that the breeder gave me which was also signed off by a vet from another state that I got him from and they told me they would not honor it and I had to vaccinate him all over again. They wanted to charge me 400.00. I just had them give him the last vaccine that he actually needed and left. Honestly they seemed cold and not really too caring. Definitely all about money. I would NEVER recommend this place.

Extortionists. I used to work for labexpress(the company that runs their more complicated tests) and these people are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to veterinarian service. There are plenty of better places in Colorado Springs. I brought my cat here years ago, he passed I believe because polo springs had me wait for over 3 hours for tests that weren't getting ran. They were clearly more interested in the wealthy couple with the greyhound in the lobby. The vet and the couple chatted for a very long time while my cats liver was failing in their examination room. After 3 hours of waiting

We have brought our pets to Polo Springs for over 10 years. They have taken great care of our animals whether it be a routine visit, day care, boarding, or emergency appointments. I cannot say enough good things about their service and care for our animals. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers and their pets!

I Recently took my rabbit in because of a growth he had developed. The consultation was less than $50, but charged me $280 for for my antibiotics and cleaning solution. (I actually think that $280 included the consultation) but when they handed me a quote to remove the mass for roughly $1400, I decided to look elsewhere. My parents have recommended their veterinary clinic at Village Center Veterinary. They were able to get me in right away charged me $70 for the consultation, and a $121 to remove the mask. Both parties are very nice and professional, unfortunately for Polo they were way out of

I had asked our vet in March to do my dog's bordatella (at the time of his regular vaccines) for an upcoming board and train. The day before I was supposed to drop my dog off, I realized that was missing from his shot records so they never actually gave it. It was a Saturday afternoon and literally no one was open except Polo Springs. I frantically called them and they were able to get him in that day and he was able to still go to his board and train without issue. The staff I encountered were great! We typically use a "discount veterinarian" so I was expecting to pay a lot to Polo Springs, but

Last week our little Scout was out playing chasing squirrels (as per usual) and we are now convinced she caught her paw on the metal edging in our yard while running after one.. She cut her foot open so bad I… rushed her to the nearest emergency animal hospital after a fast Google search. Her foot was cut so deep you could see her bone and tendons... we were told she needed surgery immediately and we were just praying that her tendons weren't damaged...after an hour-long emergency surgery, we found out she didn't need a drainage tube, she received two layers of stitches and none of her tendants

I have been going to Polo Springs for close to 30 years (I’m not sure when they originally opened, but this is about the time frame I started). I am now with my third dog being treated by the wonderful staff at Polo Springs. My dogs are my family, and I trust these people with their lives. They have taken me through some difficult times and I’ve… been there for routine exams. No matter which of the veterinarians I get, they are equally wonderful each for their unique qualities. If you are not looking for the cheapest place but want good quality care for your pet, I would never
