Ok this day of covid I couldn't find any other gym that was open till a friend told me about this gym. It's been a lifesaver! Working out is my therapy. I drive half an hour across town to come here. It's not a fancy gym, but it does the job. I use to go to equinox and lay $250 a month, mainly because it's across the street from my office. But I think I'll stick to this place even when equinox opens.

Small gym with enough machines, dumbbells and racks for the amount of people that come. Everyone is super friendly. Can get a little busy later in the day early in the week when people are motivated, but is practically empty on Thursdays to Sundays. Most of the clients here are older, so I hardly ever see anyone in the squat cage or barbell rack, which is great for me when my 2 hour workout is built around it.
$80ish a month, but its month to month with no contract needed. Worth the privacy when compared to the crowded LA Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness.

This continues to be the best LIFE GYM in Los Angeles (I have been in Downtown, La Mesa, Grossmont, Chula Vista, Hillcrest, Pacific Beach, the new and old Los Angeles). It may get crowded here at times, but the clerks are the nicest here than any other 24 Hour.
I just wish they had an outdoor pool, but besides that the equipment is pretty standard and it's maintained pretty well.

I like the gym BUT for the amount you pay for the month here are a few issues:
1. Closing at 4pm on Sat and 1 pm
On Sundays. Really?? I would say 5 or 6.
2. You get 1 towel. 1. They are clearly very old towels too.
3. At my rate, in 2019, isn't the gym a little embarrassed at the fact there's a spiral notebook for a sign in sheet. I can program an iPad for you.
4. The cardio equipment is old. I can hear the belts
5. When women have to travel to the 6th floor bc the woman's restroom isn't working-you question where the $ is going.

This gym is our home away from home. I still don't know how the manager and Owner find the kindest and most effective staff...centered, caring, and respectful are a few descriptions. I think the owner and manager are made of the stuff of angels. I say this because they make each member feel valued and important. This Oasis is for individuals who really want to keep their focus on what they are doing...it is not an environment for people who want distractions and to be entertained...think great equipment, and great environment like a library for your body and being...if you really are serious

What a selection of equipment! Nice treadmills, lots of mirrors so you can keep an eye on your form, and a great trainer-mine Monique Richardson. She's great at improving my form and maximizing my work outs. With all those comments I would give the gym five stars, however the locker room leaves much to be desired, it's too small, two showers that 40% of the time provide only cold water , be careful what you say to because there's only a partial wall separating the men and women's locker rooms, some of the conversations I hear are quite enlightening! If you like small and easy to get to gyms this is your go-to gym! It's inside a building but I love that it's so small so it's never crowded. They have plenty of work out machines. The staff is just wonderful. I don't like big brand name gyms because they are always so crowded! This place is a little over priced but if you want privacy and and a supportive environment this is your gym.
