These are all issues a therapist can help you with! My clients include individuals, couples, families, and children ages 10 and up. I use a combination of approaches including family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness. My role is to understand what you are experiencing, help you clarify what you would like to change, and provide feedback about ways you might make changes.

Services
I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2005. I graduated with an MA in Psychology from Golden Gate University in 1999. After graduating, I worked with many families and individuals through Family Service Agency of San Francisco, WOMAN Inc. and Bay Area Community Resources in Marin.
Some new clients are nervous about coming to therapy. They don't know what to expect, they may be afraid the therapist will judge them or take sides with other family members, or they may be nervous about the outcome. To alleviate some of these fears, here is some of what you can expect from therapy.
Many of my clients are mothers. With all the focus on the joy of becoming a parent and all the things we need for the newborn, we often forget that the having a baby and becoming a parent is a big transition for women. And, as the children get older, their role continues to shift. If any of the above sound familiar, now may be a good time to invest in therapy for yourself.
